application for immigrant visa and alien registraiton. biographical data parts 1

its got ds 230 on the bottom :unsure:

I didn't get a 230, does that mean I don't need it??? Lawyer says no, but why would you recieve it and I don't if we are both going through London?

This gives me a a stomach ache.

i think the one i got is just an example of one of the forms that i need to fill out on line

i think everyone has to fill out the forms they talk about. and i think now they get you to download them instead of sending them all to you :thumbs:

My question is, how is everyone finding out that their noa2 has been approved before getting their hardcopy?? Please enlighten me :)

Have you registered on the USCIS website? You need the WAC number from your NOA1. You go to uscis.gov and click on "case status online" and create a username and enter that number from your NOA1. Then make sure you sign up for email notifications :thumbs:

ok on word pad how do you resize pictures so that the proportions stay true? is there a button i can press while doing it? :unsure:

Sorry..I dont use word pad so I dunno.... :unsure:

But did you try those other suggestions? Openoffice is free...and google has google docs

It IS a lot of work. That's what I did to keep myself busy when I was waiting for the NOA2 so it was all ready when we got it. I've already shipped it off and he has it now. Now I just will send him some updates to add to it but at least the majority is done....

I did this in about August maybe, and all they did was check on the case...They gave me the same answer with the same timelines on the USCIS. And then I got all excited because my case was touched, but then I figured out it was only touched because of my congressman's inquiry.... :blush:

But you should still do it. Then at least you've touched base with your Senator regarding your case, in case you need their help later on......

you would think that they could at least be a bit more translucrent on your case as to whats taking longer? otherwise whats the point of a ruddy helpline. if tey cant help you. or at least give you information? :angry:

Yeah, I feel a little better that I have someone to look at it at least, considering we're about 2 weeks shy of our 6 month mark since recieving our NOA-1. When I spoke with the case worker she said that considering they've started June that it's definitely something to look at, which makes me hopeful. And considering they haven't even touched us since Sept 5th, it'd be good to know we're not lost in a garbage can somewhere. Sigh. :unsure:
