Not So Good

Well after not sleeping the whole night and feeling awful, my husband finally got around calling me at about 8 am. He said he did not want to get me upset on what took place during his interview. First his interview was long almost 1 hour with the lady that he describes as semi-older Asian. The first 20 mins of the interview she did not understand how we meet using a dating site. She kept asking did you find her in a yahoo chat my husband kept saying no I meet her and then we exchange skype information and MSN (I do not use yahoo). Then she kept asking about why we do not use yahoo to chat......The the questions changed to about when we meet and how long we have spent time with each other, then about my children. Then she said to him, O the divorce paper is not in the file (hmmm....how did it ever get approved without it) and he showed it to her and she just handed it back to him. Then the questions continued and the subject of who paid for his trip (our honeymoon) my husband said he did, but the lady insisted that I gave him money and asked how much did I send to him, my husband said nothing and plus here is the affidavit of support it indicates how much she makes and she can not afford to pay for me Then she went on and said okay (again she did not keep this either). Then the last question she asked him was what was the last movie I saw and he said he was confused and said Transformers. Now that was the last movie we saw together not that I saw on my own . My poor husband said he saw her deny others for tourist visas before him and he knew that she would be the person to interview him this made him so nervous. In the end she asked to keep our communication evidence he had (skype phone log, email, etc..) for review and said that she would call him when she is done reviewing the evidence. She said she could not give a time frame of how long. So we still do not know anything more then yesterday. Although I was hoping he just would have a paper that stated further name checks at least then we would know his visa would be issued soon. I am not even sure if he will require another interview? I wish I could of had better news today

Well, if he was denied, there would be no need to continue on with the interview and keep your evidence. Perhaps that was her ' polite ' way of saying AP ?

Call DOS and see what they say.

That's certainly a different interview from Morocco that I've read. I hope she believes him and you go on for security checks but call DOS just to confirm what the deal is.

As far as the "what was the last movie she saw", I never understood those types of questions. How the heck would she know if he's lying???? Not like she called you beforehand to get the heads up.

But like Nagi said, it's not the end-end of the world news. If she kept the evidence, then that means they will review your case further. It's not a denial... Did she give him any kind of documents after he finished?

I have a good feeling about this, I think your husband will be on his way soon. She sounds like a tool, ####### is with the question what was the last movie you saw? That is some BS to me, good thing it wasn't me in that interview, I have a smart mouth, would have said something like, oh yea, I think it was a porno.

Did the consul know you are 23 weeks pregnant? If she didnt , or he didnt have a chance to tell her because its not in your paperwork, I would start calling your congressman and anyone you can to tell them to contact the embassy and let them know. You will need to get a pregnancy confirmation from your OB and call the congress man's office and senator today. You are NOT in the position to handle a 4 to 5 month AP. Play the pregnancy card and very fast and I promise you any proof of relationship worries will evaporate

I like this idea a polite way of saying "AP" it made me laugh! I hope so and praying. I did call DOS after talking to him earlier and it was not in the computer system, the lady at DOS said to call tomorrow or check monday at the lasted to see the status.

I said the same thing its a question that is completely irrelevant to determining if a relationship is valid or not. Specially since no where does it say I only watch action flicks unless they have been checking my DVD rental history at Blockbusters.

Yes she gave him a white paper with several options on it, marked was review of further evidence. Do you think it means he will have another interview. Maybe this time they will ask when is the last time I ate at McDonald's. O wait that was today, lol I was very bad and had those French fries not too good with my issue of swelling up these days but I had a craving for salty fries this whole day.
