Salaam all,

How is everybody?

Here is my question, and i know we've discussed this before.

Do i have to purchase a return ticket for Habibi for him to enter the States on a K1? Usually the difference in price for the one way and return is so minuscule it doesn't matter, but i just looked on RAM's website and the difference in price is about 4000 dirhams!! That's a lot of centimes especially since our dollars are worth a lot less these days...

So, can i just buy him a one way online, and he won't have any problems with it at the airport or anything? He'd be flying, inchallah, from Casa to JFK...

Thanks everybody! (F) (F) (F)

You can do that. I sent my husband the money via MoneyGram and he purchased his one way ticket through a travel agent there. The cost was about the same.

Thanks Theresa!

May i asked why you opted to have him buy it there? Can i buy him an electronic ticket via RAM online and just give him the confirmation number? Or is this not a good way to get him the ticket?

Thanks again!

I know in the past some people had to call RAM directly (their office in NYC) to buy a ticket for their S/O. I think they had to fax them something.

At the time, my husband bought it through a local travel agent. We researched prior about flights that would be the best. He went in with all that information and actually got a better price.

I sent him the money because I remembered checking prices in Morocco when I was there and the prices varied. I was comfortable that he would find a decent price there with a travel agent and he did. He paid a little less than what I found online.

Salaam all,

Happy Monday.

Can i just bump this to the top again, for any other takers?

Does anyone foresee it being a problem if I buy Habibi a one-way electronic ticket here in the US, and then just send him the confirmation number? Will the people at Casa airport give him an issue with that? He would be coming on a K1 visa, inchallah.

Thanks again!

i think there is no problem to buy him an electronic ticket as long as it is for his name, u need just to give him the confirmation by email and he will have to print it and bring it with him to the aireport inshallah...that's all !!!

good luck (F)

Hi All,

i know we've talked about this a million times before, but i'm just not getting anywhere...

i want to by my "fiance's" plane ticket, and i really, really want to buy just a one-way, but i am getting mixed messages from everywhere:

1) DOS says a 1-way is fine.

2) the first time i called RAM in New York, the woman said a 1-way is fine.

3) 2nd time, RAM in New York, said to call the Moroccan Consulate in New York (as if they ever answer the phone there!)

4) called NVC, they said they didn't know.

5) called RAM in Casa, and they said i must buy a round-trip ticket.

6) Habibi has been to two different travel agents in Rabat and they say he must buy a round-trip.

Has anyone had these troubles? How did you fly on a K1 visa, RAM direct from Casa to JFK? Can i really just buy him a one-way?

i'm sorry, i'm just flustered over here... my biggest fear is that he will get to Casa, with all his stuff, and they will not let him on the plane because they are uninformed about K1 visas?

oh, by the way, a round-trip Casa to NY these days is costing $1500! :crying: i just want this visa nightmare to end.....

Thanks for your help,

hz
