NVC replied to my email!

Hi,

Last week I e-mailed NVC with the all the information that they request. Apparently, they HAVE to check all inquiries:

Please be advised, as of April 4, 2008 our office has revised our guidelines for communication between the National Visa Center and the public. We are now required to verify case information each time we receive an inquiry.

The reply I received from them was this:

ood day,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, beneficiary, and/or attorney of record will receive further instructions regarding the processing of this petition.

And then they e-mailed me again with the results of the inquiry:

Good day,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC has completed its processing of the visa petition you mentioned in your letter and has forwarded the petition to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General for further processing.

Any further inquiries should be directed to the assigned US Embassy or Consulate General.

I got the same email. The only problem I have with it, is it doesn't tell me details.

I would have like to had them tell me NVC case number and specific dates of processing they performed.

I'm also concerned about how to contact the Consulate to find information. The times I've emailed the Consulate with questions, they never reply...and we haven't had much success in getting through on the phone ether.

Still, at least NVC replies to emails and phone calls. That's more than we could say about USCIS.

My emails told me just the detail I needed. The title of both emails NVC sent to me had both the USCIS case number that I informed, and the new number, in my case, since the consulate is in Rio de Janeiro, the number is RDJ**********

I emailed the consulate informing this new number. I have comunicated by email with Rio consulate before, they reply, they take a while but they reply. Let's see if they say something that's worth anything

I'm going to call them as soon as I charge my phone, too.
