I need your help or advice on this..

What will you do given the same situation?

Thanks....

Hi! If I were on your part, I won't take the chance of working knowing that Vermont does the processing in a shorter span of time. No one can tell if by luck you get approved in a month or two. Of course no one can tell also if one case is approved or not until we get notified but let's stay on the positive side.

Problems leaving the country? I don't think so but as you get NOA2, you got to comply with the requirements and may push you to take absences or leave for work, seem not right for a new employee.

You still got to decide.

How about if you inform them about your K1 application and tell them of leaving the job after you get your visa. If they will still be interested in hiring you and will consider your circumstance, then it would be really nice to work in the government. It should be a plus in your resume for future employment :)

Yup, better open up your current situation specially that it's a government agency at BIR pa :D And also, in record, VSC do process faster than CSC. Parang alanganin talaga situation mo, pero sayang din ang opportunity. Mas mabuti inform mo na lang sila then you will know if you can take the job or not.

I agree with All Rights Reserved opinion pretty pink. Its difficult to be connected to the Government and you are living the country soon. Just patiently wait ur visa for the fact that Vermont Service Center is the fastest service center.

Good luck & God bless!!!!!!!!!!

 Also, if you check the timelines of those who filed from February with Filipino beneficiaries, they are getting their NOA2s in just 2 months more or less so you might get the same luck and consider telling them that anytime you will be leaving the country and see if they will still hire you.

I have been travelling outside the Philippines before I came here so I chose to stay in private practice because in the departure area ( immigration section) they will ask you for a clearance once they know you work for the government. I experienced this many times even if I only went outside the country for a vacation.

It will be a tough decision so choose the one which is most convenient for you.

Goodluck on the journey.

yup! you cannot travel without the required clearance from the government agency you work for. although, people i know seem to have gotten around this rule by saying they work for a private firm instead of the government.

Goodluck in whatever you decide to do.
