Agent can be petitioner, beneficiary or attorney of the record. To speed up the process, make the petitioner as agent, since he/she is in the U.S. Is this the answer you are looking for ?

kelvin_omar25, Passport copy will be in English, right ? If birth certificate is not in English, you need to translate it. Here is the link for more info:

If you have only state tax copies for the remaining 2 years, you need to submit last 3 years W-2/1099 with tax return documents and write a letter as attachment stating Federal return was not needed during those years. For more info, please refer the instructions in this link:

Do I have to wait for the hard copy of the DS-3032 (Choice of Agent form) to get the IIN?

I called the NVC and I have our case #

I was going to pay online but I dont have the Invoice number.

DS-230 is immigrant visa application, and it is for the beneficiary.

Once NVC assigns your case#, you can try calling live operator to get IIN. Do not wait until DS-3032 is generated. Try everyday evening, because to get IIN is little tough and may need couple of tries with diff. operator.

Good news, our IV Fee bill generated and paid. Now I can take a peaceful vacation to India after submitting the IV package in 2 days time. That completes NVC process from my side if there is no RFE

I bit the bullet and paid the AOS fee online just now (May 11th) - Got my receipt showing IN PROCESS! Let's hope things move fast overall... I sent the receipt to my wife so she can use that to show the police station/officer that she needs a background check ASAP ...

(I've also scanned the I-130 approval and emailed it so my wife/F-I-L will print that out as proof as well ...)

By the way - what do I do if my I-129F gets approved while I'm going through the process with the I-130 - do I have to withdraw it? (I won't until it gets actually approved and sent to NVC though lol)... I'm hoping that if the I-130 process goes as it "should" - I will be done sending all my paperwork in by the end of this month or early next month. All depends on the time it takes for the police background check to happen (and a passport name change).

The other thing I was wondering was - since my wife is the only person on the I-130 and my income is from just my job (other than trivial amounts of interest in my savings account) - could I just use the I-864EZ ... I have bank letters I had received for the I-134 I had prepared in advance, should I just ignore sending copies of those? (I don't want to overdo it if it causes confusion.)
