Dear all, I like to get advice from everyone. We are going to send the I-751 in 2 months. We do have the following documents:

Permanent Resident Card of hubby

passport of hubby

our driver licenses

joint 2006 US Federal Income Tax Return

joint 2007 US Federal Income Tax Return

joint checking account statements

one cashier’s check showing both name

two Master Cards showing a joint account

two check card mails showing same address

electricity bills showing a joint account

8 family pictures (Not much because both of us don't like taking pictures)

holiday cards from friends and families

Two affidavits from friends

We don't have joint car insurance and joint car title

anything else we need?

Thank you

:hehe:

Showing a joint account isn't sufficient, IMHO. You need more evidence, primarily financial, that spans the length of your marriage.

Do you have any evidence, like life insurance, wills, investments, retirement plans, etc. that show you as each other's beneficiaries?

As Cassie mentioned it probably isn't enough just to show the cards with the same account; you need to include copies of bank statements of the joint account, bill statements for the credit cards, copies of the utility bills and include them to cover the whole length of your marriage - samples from every quarter of each year would be sufficient. It is important to show financial evidence that covers the whole period of your marriage from its beginning to when you file.

We only have recent Credit Card Statements but only one name on the statements....is this okey?

We also have electricity bill showing two different addresses (previous residency and current one) is this okey?

Hubby's car title and insurance (only one name, not joint ownership) showing previous address...is this okey?

We don't have anything to show each other as beneficiary

Please help us........................

Thank you very much

do you have a joint lease -- evidence of shared residence is a requirement. prior addresses are fine as long as they have both your names on the statements, etc.

also, do you have joint health insurance?

W-2 with the same address and status should help too. Airline tickets/bookings from Expedia etc-look if you have any other docs showing same residence and shared financial responsibility. You have 2 more months-make more pictures-most people here, I read, include about 15 pics (ideally not just together-but with friends/family).

We have included old W-2 (which showed single status) and new one (which showed married status)-with added line that husband's coworkers are aware of marriage. Just an example.

Looks like you have evidence, but people on this forum usually include a bit more. But maybe yours is enough too.
