I've seen a bunch of TD Banknorth branches in NJ. Has anyone used them? I have a Canadian TD Bank Visa card, and I'm wondering if they'll transfer it to a U.S card or look up Canadian credit when it comes to mortgages and things.

The Canadian and American web sites are pretty separate so couldn't figure out from there. Another call to make I guess!

There's diamonds in the sidewalk, the gutters lined in song

Dear I hear that beer flows through the faucets all night long

There's treasure for the taking, for any hard working (wo)man

Who will make his home in the American Land

My Sister in Nebraska uses them. She opened an account with them a few years ago - she is also a TD customer.

She has to mail cheques to deposit with them etc, as they have no branches in Nebraska. She likes that she can transfer from her Canadian account to her U.S. account over the phone.

Anyway, she is still using them. Not sure about mortgages, credit rating etc.

We have an account with them. We started with TD Canada Trust and then opened Banknorth through them. We did it so we could transfer from Canada to the US since we wanted a US account to be linked to our paypal account. We like it.
