I have to submit my I-864. I got laid off this month, but i got one year salary and would get paid as usual. The form requires to state employed or unemployed. Can someone please tell me that should i list employed as i will still be getting paid for one year. or should i list unemployed and if i list unemployed would that effect my case status. I would be grateful if someone can answer my question???

hmm... this is interesting. I wonder if you can say you are employed or even self-employed since you'd be getting paid as usual.

Sorry I have no clue. I dont think it matters even if you put un-employed because you would file the most recent tax returns with it. On top of that you can include your last 3 pay stubs. I'm also sure that a letter from your previous employer stating you would get paid as usual wouldnt hurt your cause

Good luck!
