Break the chain and teach your daughters to not get involved with violent men, teach your sons to respect women and to stand up to men that don't respect women.

I would assume most violent men don't show their violent tendencies until AFTER they're involved.....

Theoretically speaking, it would be a dumb move on the man's part. Of course, I'd wonder what he's really looking for in the relationship if he's acted one way before and another after. She won't want to stay with him if he's a "different" person, especially if becomes increasingly violent.

Obviously, there's some sort of control exerted on the woman to kinda force her to stay...maybe they're married and she has nowhere to go, maybe she's got low self esteem, maybe she's just plain scared. There are tons of reasons, I would assume.

But logic dictates that he didn't give her a black eye or get into a scrap/screaming match with someone else on their first date, and that would be ok with her. Most women I know would run at the first sign of it.

Thats true and then there is the ones (women) that are aware of past problems but go on into the situation thinking it wont happen to them. Guess i watch to much tv, or the ones that they get mad maybe just start by punching the walls, or the doors, sometimes violence with animals, the small signs are there they just dont use their (logic) to sort thru it

is it just me or ..........He should not hit her hard injuring her, or hit her on her face or on sensitive parts of her body. that might be a good idea to consider unless you want to die

he is NOT allowed to hit her hard or injure her in any way.......he is suppose to use this only if all else fails......how ever most men do not use this even if everything else has failed..........

It has been my experience that most women that are in abusive relationships have experienced some form of abuse most of their lives. It may be very hard for those of us to understand that are strong women, but for many this is what "normal" is to them. Many of these men are masters of manipulation and degradation, that their wives/gfs believe they have no way out. Some become trapped because they feel they have no way to support themselves or their children, or they simply fear for their lives.

This is not just a Muslim problem. This type of abuse crosses into all cultures, races and social levels.

I have said this before and I will say it again that controlling and jealous behavior IS NOT love! These can be signs of more violent behavior to come.

No matter the culture, no matter the religion, no matter if you are a man or woman....I think it is VITAL that a person establish their boundaries from the very start.

IMO, a marriage is a mutual partnership. You get out of it, what you put into it.
