Moving soon -- time between interview and oath

Timeline

Hi guys! It's me again. Well apparently, my husband may have to relocate soon with his job. I have my interview on May 15th. What happens if we move right after that? What will happen with my oath? Can i take it in another state?

Our Timeline:

I-129F / K-1:

- 03/20/2002: I-129F Petition sent to Nebraska SC

- 05/05/2002: NO1

- 09/26/2002: NO2 Petition Approved

- 01/09/2003: Interview at the Embassy - K-1 Approved

- 02/04/2003: moving to the States

- 04/02/2003: Wedding in San Francisco

I-485 AOS / I-751 :

- May 2003: I-485 sent to Texas SC

- 10/17/2003: Fingerprinting & EAD

- March 2004: AOS Interview in Oklahoma City

- 03/17/2004: Temporary Green Card Issued

- 03/30/2004: Green Card Issued

- 02/14/2006: I-751 sent to California SC

- 05/26/2006: Removal of Condition Approved

- 11/08/2006: Green Card received

Citizenship:

- 09/22/2007: N-400 sent

- 12/26/2007: NOA received / check cashed

- 2/18/2008: 1st Biometrics appointment -- failed

- 3/10/2008: 2nd Biometrics appointment

- May 15th: Interview date in Oklahoma City

- June 25th: Oath Ceremony in OKC!

I could've written this post! My interview is on May 15th, and we will probably have to relocate for my husband's job in the next few months too! I'm wondering what's going to happen with the oath too. I will ask the IO at the interview!

1/19/05 Date on NOAs

2/25/05 Biometrics Appointment for I-485/I-765 (Denver)

3/01/05 Email EAD approved!

3/07/05 EAD Received

3/24/05 Received Interview Letter

4/26/05 Interview Date (Denver) -- Approved!

4/30/05 Received 10 year-LPR card!

I don't have an answer for you but you should probably ask the Inmigration Officer during the interview. He/She should know what the correct procedure will be if you move after the interview but before the Oath Ceremony.

Permanent Residence Card Timeline

09.14.04: Conditional PR granted

06.14.06: I-751 sent

07.07.06: NOA extending GC for a year

07.24.07: Biometrics Appt

09.10.07: Called 1-800 to inquire about Status

09.14.07: Conditional GC expired :(

09.24.07: Received Letter dated 09.19.07 -->Case pending Officer review

10.15.07: Another useless call to 1-800 line

11.13.07: Infopass Appt to inquire about I-751 status - Letter to Ombudsman sent.

12.08.07: Letter from Ombudsman received. Formal inquiry initiated. I should hear back from USCIS within 45 days.

01.05.08: Response from USCIS received: Required Review still in process. Contacted Congresswoman office.

Approved per Congresswoman's office response given in March 08.

12.03.07: NOA Receipt Received - Priority Date:11/08/07

12.08.07: NOA 2 --> Fingerprint Notification Received. Scheduled date is 12.31.07

01.12.08: NOA 3 --> Interview Appt Letter. Interview date is 03.04 at 9:40AM

03.04.08: Interview done. I should hear from them soon.

04.07.08: Oath Ceremony Letter Received!!!

05.02.08: Oath Ceremony completed. I am now an American Citizen

Timeline

I know someone who filed in L.A. then moved and her address change was not processed correctly. She had to return to L.A. for the interview and again for the oath.
