More USCIS Delays even after Approval

The approval letter states that you should wait 3 months before contacting NVC.. The reason being USCIS needs 3 months to send to NVC!!! It gets stuck in their mailroom!!! I just got off the phone with USCIS and I was so mad and disappointed because they stated to me last week that they had send out my petition on 3/25 (how funny  before it got approved  ), but I just found out that when they state send out, that just means to their mail room, and it can take up to 3 months to be sent out from their mail room to NVC :crying: WHAT THE HECK!?!?!??!?!

I am feeling like why  , this is so Disorganized :bonk: !!! That is why you see people that just got approved last week with a case number already assigned to them from NVC and others who been waiting weeks still with no Case #....We are still in the MAIL ROOM of USCIS :crying::angry:

I contacted NVC and they stated that they enter a case into their system as soon as they recieve it in their mail room, therefore the hold up is still with USCIS

Anyone else waiting for NVC to assign a case number, this might be the reason....

Well I am sure you will get your Approval soon, looks like they are processing October petitions from VSC now.... Good luck with that... I know I am happy I got our approval, but we are still at USCIS , but I won't be the Happiest until I am with my Habebe. I miss my hubby so much!!! I guess I am venting because USCIS is the delaying factor with ALL our cases!!!!

 We need even more patience

Hi Nita,

I don't know what exactly to say to make you feel better...but the similar case happened to us before...except the delay was shorter. I remember I got the approval letter from USCIS saying the i-130 is sent to NVC and NVC will assign a case # for it. I kept calling the NVC and the case was not received yet even it had been 2 weeks since i got hat approval letter from USCIS. So I called the USCIS, and guess what? They said it's still in the mail room?! I was like...what the heck?! They said there was too many case ready to be sent out so SOMEHOW i got the approval letter TOO EARLY before they ACTUALLY sent it out.

I remember one week or ten days later, when i called the NVC, they got it!! And a case # was assigned!! So it took about 21 or 25 days from the day i received the approval notice until NVC got the case and assigned the #.

I DON'T THINK IT WOULD REALLY TAKE 3 MONTHS just for your case to get out of the USCIS mail room. They always tell you a longer period so that people won't be calling USCIS every day.

So...don't be too sad. Maybe in just too weeks...the NVC would get it  You never know :dancing:

Best wishes

Jacky

I have a feeling that CSC sends approved petitions to NVC only once a month usually on the Friday following 15th of the month? My reasoning is based on the fact that USCIS updates processing times only once a month usually just after the 15th. There are many of us having approved I-130 / I-129 after March 17 that have not reached past NVC's mailroom. USCIS has not updated the April 15th processing times as of today Friday April 18th.

So me and my buddy Tequila says that our approvals will reach NVC next week:)

What do you think?

processing times are a big BS, they get updated almost to the end of the month, they have no data to feed off. the mailroom might be at the beach checking some other mails

i know that sucks, everyday my husband called NVC and then they said they didnt get it yet and give a week to have a news and then when he called USCIS they said they sent it. but when he called yesterday they said its in the mailroom too and waiting for the other approvals from other people before they will assigned case number.. i thought the waiting is over but we still have to wait.. hopefully it wont take another 90 days...
