Applying for interview at the embassy

Hello,

when do you actually apply for the interview at the embassy? Do we do this as soon as we receive the NOA2, or when the Embassy itself sends out forms?

As far as I know you do not "apply" for interview. They will send you interview date after you send them back packet 3.

You don't apply for an interview. Once you receive your NOA2, your petition is sent to the NVC. From the NVC it's sent to London. Once London gets your approved petition you are sent packet 3. Packet 3 includes a checklist, 4 forms you have to fill out and return right away, and forms about your medical. Once you have everything on the checklist you send that back and that is their cue to schedule you for an interview.. Once your petition gets to London the process speeds up quite a bit.

The consulate will issue an interview date when all forms (sent/requested of the beneficiary in Packet 3) are returned to them. Check HERE for some useful information.
