how to cancel petition?

hello im Lovie,i had an old k- 1 petition before, last march 2007, i already had a medical and interview schedules. but i refuse , benefeciary wrote a letter to the embassy. Same year, july, 2007 i received a FORMAL NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL FILED BY THE PETIIONER, i just want to verify if this cleared and void as i have a present filed K-1 visa last April 2008, is this will affect us ? or nothing to worry . i need to help your informations guys,

yah,from cebu,thats right cuz we broke up. things change, life changes...

what if i just leave it alone.doesnt the petition expire or have an expiration date?

If the case already at the "waiting for an interview date" stage, it is no longer a question of canceling the petition....it has been approved by USCIS, its out of their hands. The petitioner (USC) should now "withdraw" your support for the visa applicaiton of the beneficiary.

BTW, are you the petitioner, or the beneficiary? If you're the petitioner, then a letter should be sent tothe NVC and to the consulate withdrawing your support for the visa applicaiton. As the beneficiary, you can contact the consulate (via letter or e-mail) referencing your case # and state your desire to withdraw said applicaiton.
