financial support for fiance

Hey-- this may be bit convoluted. We are in the early stages of doing the K1. I am currently living in Mexico with my boyfriend. I was going to put my parents' home address in Ohio for all my documentation because it is the permanent address I always use. However, I was looking at the affidavit of support and the fact that you need to provide pay stubs. Well, I am currently working but I just get paid in checks. Also, I don't have my FM3 (work visa) so the whole thing is a bit sketchy. Also, this job ends at the end of June so I might be getting paid even more informally after that. Should I say that I live in Mexico or in the U.S? How will I be able to prove my financial status without pay stubs? I have some savings but I see that we need 2 of the 4 items. How will I be able to prove that he won't be a "burden" on the U.S. system?

Thank you!

Have you been filing US tax returns?

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Only U.S. income will be considered unless your current employer plans to keep you as an employee even after you return to the U.S. Unless you have a cosponsor, you will most likely need to return and establish U.S. based income adequate to satisfy the support requirement before a visa will be issued.

Ayup, no real way around it.

Your other option is a co-sponsor who would file their own I-134 in addition to your own.
