NOA2 received. Problm:NO W-2!plz help

hey guys..

well great news. our case was approved on the 2nd after a RFE last month!! no more calling USCIS, time to memorize the number for the National visa center hehe..ill be making some phone calls next week...

i have one slight problem. I don't have any of the W-2 form to show as evidence for my affidavit of support. even if i had those i made less than the poverty line because i was a full time student and was only working part time. my current job now allows me to be way above the poverty line. what should i do about the W-2 form that i dont have. im so afraid that we'll get an AR because of missing W-2!!!

You don't need your previous W-2's. The letter from your current employer plus about 3-6 months of pay stubs will be fine.

3 to 6 months of Pay stubs? I thought a few weeks like 2 or 3 would be enough.

You don't need your previous W-2's. The letter from your current employer plus about 3-6 months of pay stubs will be fine.

No no, don't worry I am not sure what that is all about. From what I understand 2 or 3 pay stubs will be enough. You're fine.

but y do i hear some ppl are getting ARs for now having their w-2s. if u read samby n tintin's interview post the people ahead of them where getting ARs for not having W-2s!!!

Hi jhilly143 i was in a same situation i was working part time too but i got a new job which put me well above the poverty line so i sent a letter from my new employer, 3 of my most recent stubs and my 2005 and 2006 tax transcript that i got from the IRS and they were way below the poverty line and my fiancee got her visa approved. the embassies are interested in your current income and since you meet the requirements for the poverty line i think you should be ok. The AR's are because they submitted an incomplete tax return. A tax return without W2 is not complete. Otherwise, there's nothing magic about a W2. I didn't submit any because I used tax transcripts. Evidence of income is the issue. Anybody can write anything on a 1040 form. It alone proves nothing about income.
