Hi guys,

We are September filers also. We got both of our petitions approved on April 15th at CSC. This is how our process went, for those of you who are interested:

Sept 11, 2007: USCIS receives our I-130 documentation

Dec 28,2007: USCIS issues receipt for I-130 petition

January 2008 : we receieved the receipt by mail and sent the I-129f documentation

January 17, 2008: USCIS issues receipt for I-129f

February, March: on line updates for our petitions

March 17, 2008: USCIS sends us RFE to replace the G-325a form and the passport photos

March 25, 2008: we sent the requested documentation and according to the mail tracking they got it on March 26th

April 7, 2008: case resumed, they give us 60 days to make a decision in our case

April 8, 2008: on line update for I-129f

April 15, 2008: on line update for both petitions

April 16, 2008: we received an email from USCIS saying they approved our petitions on April 15th!!!

From what i noticed it's all about the people working on your case: how old school they are, how fast or how slow...A friend of mine applied in November and she got both of her petitions approved on April 02. What else can i say?! Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug...Good luck to all of you who're still waiting to have your cases approved!

Hey!

We filed our I-130 on Sept 10th with a NOA-1 on Dec 27th. I-129f NOA-1 January 18th. This is all at Vermont Service Center. From what I can tell I would expect those of us in the same boat to be hearing something very soon with regards to NOA-2. Apparently the I-130 is held back to process the I-129f. Looking at the immigration timelines link at the top of this page it says that Vermont are now processing I-129f with an NOA-1 on Dec 30th. I know this is not an official USCIS date but it is based on the people on this site (I think) and so may be realistic of what is going on right now. At least it may give us some idea or hope! That timeline date is progressing quite quickly now so maybe we will hear something within a week or two. I know this sucks but hang in there, no point getting overly stressed about it. I did last week and my wife kicked my ### on the phone!

Good luck all and lets hear something soon.

Cheers

Dave

Yeah it doesnt make sense sometimes, I find it hard to follow. My wife got our Congressman to call USCIS, our Lawyer has called, we wrote to our Senator - and pretty much all we got was nothing yet. So I guess all we can do is wait. I have read quite a few messages on here that suggest that USCIS hold the I-130 back for the I-129f. Maybe they do in some cases and in others not. Logic? Dont think there is any. But looking at all the lists of dates on here and the approvals coming through I really hope to get NOA-2 very soon. It looks like it may happen. I got touched on both petitions last week so it looks like they have paired them together for processing. I guess I am just waiting for them to do that.

When I hear anything I will write it on here.

They received all applications in January and February mostly, no matter when they were sent(because of the Chicago lockbox). All of our applications arrived together within 1-2 months.Maybe they took a larger number of applications to process at once and since some cases take more time to be approved that may be the reason why some of you are still waiting. It is just my theory, I hope that you understand what I wrote.I mean, think about it, it might make sense.

Hi Madie,

If you don't mind me asking, why did they ask for new passport photo's, was it because they were the same as the passport photo's you've sent with your I-130 packet? I sent the same passports photo's of my wife for the I-130 paket with my I-129F, because of the hassle of my wife living in Pakistan and getting around. Hopefully it won't be a problem.
