Thanks! Yeah I found the K1 flowchart thing, and it shouldn't be a problem because once it is approved, they have to forward it to the NVC then send it to London, then they'll send him the packet. In all probably about 3-4 weeks...so he will be back in plenty of time. :)

I did, too. Maybe it's good - after all, what are the odds that we BOTH screwed something up with our applications enough to warrant an RFE? I'm really hoping it means we're insanely close to approval. :)

Did I mention that for an additional $24.95, stars will be named after your children and recorded in the exclusive VJ star registry? :star:

Seriously, it would be neat if you were first since it would alleviate some of the stress for you and your SO. I just want my approval by mid July. Now if my SO were on this website, I would be in for a verbal tongue lashing. :bonk:

So I hear it's getting awfully touchy over here! :P You girls must be in the box of one of the newly trained, scan happy adjuticator's! I hope he/she moves quickly for you!

Stephanie, I hope you are approved before Garreth's visit mid-July! Your estimations with London seem right on. It seems about a month from NOA2 to receiving packet 3. Email is the best way to communicate with that Embassy and if you have a solid wedding date you probably want to mention that as 'sometimes' those who have a date get pushed through quicker. ;)

Brian..u so silly :P

Well Monday has come and gone and we have yet to crown our first April VSC VJer. I suppose that's ok with March filers still waiting but I wish they would speed things up. I can feel myself getting more anxious for it now that I know it's not so far off.

...from your lips to "God's" ear, Gaye!

Thank you all for the well wishes! We're getting very excited now!

Considering the feelings of some CSC filers it's probably best to keep the threads seperate but I will surely post and help to support the CSC April filers as well! :)

Good morning happy Apriler's!

Well today marks 8 weeks to the day that we sent off our petition and honestly we were hoping to see our approval by now. I try to remind myself what a small percentage of filers we are and tell myself that there were probably hundreds of people approved this week, just not vj'ers but when the timelines here are all you really have to go by, it can be quite disconcerting to see so few approvals. It's a good thing my glass is half full! ;)

Perspective is the word of the day! We are in this because there is something so magical waiting on the other side of it and when that day comes... every single moment of this torture will be worth it!

Have a great Tuesday April filers!

Tuesday Morning Snapshot:

March VJ K-1 filers: 76

NOA2 Approvals: 55

That makes for a 72% completion rate, with the average number of days being 54.

Of course our average number of days will be higher. Some of us are at 60 days or approaching 60 days shortly. But at least the NOA2's are still leaving the train station. :star:

Stay Positive April,

Brian

For some extra info, when I had sent packet three back after about 5 days I contact the Dos and they confirmed that packet 3 had been recieved and whether an interview had been scheduled.

Hope this helps

Hello dear April filers! I surely like that touchy pattern going on. So hope it's a sign that your time has come!

Dear Kim, thanks so much for your positive posts. Reading you really helps to see that positive outlook is the best course of action during this wait!

I was just wondering if anybody had to deal with the same thing I'm facing right now. Friends of my Ukr. family all talk to me like I'm some kind of failure and as if its mine and Dave's fault that I can't simply get up, pack my suitcase and fly to the States. I mean I already have this distance to deal with and than all those people around me are acting as if I live in my own sad little fantasy world! I mean did anybody encounter that or is it stupid Ukrainian culture thing, when people are happy when those around them are misarable? Sorry if I'm out of place with my post, just am having a really bad day :crying:

Cheer up little camper. :star:

I also face the same thing to some degree. It seems like several people that my SO knows in Mexico are experts on immigration. Several people have tried to convince her that something is wrong, because EVERYONE knows that she is allowed to come to the United States right away and get married and stay forever.

And the people she works with are the worst. Several people have commented that it should not take this long and we are only taking about 60 days so far. I chalk it up to jealousy.

Thankfully, her and her family respect my opinion more. I have explained to her that every situation is different. And that without the facts of each situation, it is difficult to make comparisons.

Because indeed, there are some situations that can be expedited. And other circumstances that would lend themselves to both of us being in the U.S. during the entire process. However, ours is not one of them.

Dwell on the positive. You have found your soul mate. Does it really matter what others think? Does it really matter whether the process takes two months or six months? I am looking forward to a lifetime with my SO.

Stay Positive,

Brian
