Hello everyone,

My husband has just one test to take to get his degree in Business Management with specialization in English ...but due to my sick grandpa we had to leave egypt before he could take the test last year....so now we have saved some money and are considering him going back in august to take the last test ...august is basically the next test date ....but before we do that I realy would liek to know whether it is worth it? I know its better than nothing but I have not heard from any of you from MENA with business degrees. I was wondering if it means anything here? Also, how much to do the evaluating of the foreign degree? Any ideas on how much longer of college in USA it would take to make his degree US equivalent? I sincerely appreciate any advice because it is a lot to spend just for a paper that means nothing here when we dont have it to waste.

What I would do before going back to take the test is to have his university transcript evaluated. We used World Education Services (WES). It cost about 160 dollars to do it. Link to WES. It give you the US of equivalent of the courses he took in Egypt. Then you can make a decision if he will need more courses here in the USA. There are other evaluation services out there. WES is the one we used. Whatever service you choose you will have to send a transript release to his university in Egypt, and they will have to translate it and send it straight to WES. After WES receives all the required documents it takes about 1 week to evaluate the transript and send the report to you. We had alot of trouble getting my husband's university in Algeria to send his transript, so the sooner you send the request the better. You can download the transcript request at the WES website.

Good luck!
