Must have been sucked into the twilight zone!!! Not reporting in!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Hey Trailmix and family,

If by any tiny chance you are driving through the Florida Panhandle, do PM me and see where we are.

If I get it, it is because we have arrived and it would be great to come out and meet you...say hi, hug and have some real coffee...hahaha before you keep heading on your way. I don't remember which city you said you were going to.

Crossing paths!

That's what I'm talkin' about.

Howdy everyone!

We started out at 10:30 yesterday morning from Murdo, South Dakota and arrived here in Nebraska (where my Sister and her family live) at 6:00 last night.

Soo we are at my Sister's house, as mentioned, stayed up late talking, she made this really good lasagna for dinner. Anyway, I didn't get much sleep, got up early !

We have decided to stay in Nebraska for a few days and look around the town, do some shopping, eat some good food etc.

Enjoy your time with your sister, but do check in from time to time so we all know you are doing fine. Hope you have great weather to look around and for when you get back on the road.

Thank God you did NOT get sucked into the Twilight Zone  , I was worried....

Nebraska, Nebraska.... is that near Alaska????

Didn't you know, Rod Serling lives in Ogallala, NE. Nebraska is nothing like Alaska, there are lots of interesting things to do in Alaska. At least you can visit your sister (Sismix) and her hubby (Tom Mix? ). Enjoy your stay in the Cornhusker State (no, I'm not being sarcastic  ) and please let your adoring audience know of your further travels.

I told my Sister and Brother in law their new names, they like them!

I'm not sure what happened to Len and her reports, we passed a saloon in Montana and suddenly she wasn't following anymore.

Anyway, you all may think that I lost my sense of humour during the trip to Florida and perhaps that is true

Just travelled 4612 km (2866 miles) through the U.S. and no, I don't have any stories or observations of the United States - NOT!

Wow. That makes my drive from Ontario look like peanuts.

Yeah mine too, but at about hour 12 when we were almost here I was not a good passenger trying to keep awake, unsuccessfully lol.

I'm glad Sismix and Tom Mix like their new names, just think, if they have another child they can always call the baby Admix.:lol:

Sense of humour? Road trips through Montana and expensive mechanical difficulties have a way of attenuating the joy of the open road. :crying::lol:

2866 miles, that's insane. :crying: Makes the Toronto to Spokane run (2300 miles) seem like Sunday drive. At least you got to stop and rest for the night, must have been nice.

BTW, last I heard Len was in a strip poker game in Whitefish and doing rather well. Lots of nekkid cowboys roaming the streets sobbing inconsolably.
