Delbros doesn't reply back quickly.. I need to text them 3x and finally got textback the day after I paid my Doc verification.

I think the reason why they don't reply fast because they are waiting for the payment to be posted in their account.. :)

Glad to see you received the confirmation. Correct, not everyone is required to pay the verification fee. Many of us decided to pay it early just to prevent delays in the visa issuance. As you see in my signature paying early did not help us.

I still suggest texting or calling Delbros in a few days to make sure they have forwarded the verification to the Embassy.

My fiance just deposited to delbros and they arnt replying. Is this normal?

Also, my fiance needs to renew her NBI clearence because she says it expired in Jan 2008. Is this something they are looking for in the doc. verification. Im not exactly sure what they are checking.

Hi there,

i have received a confirmation from Delbros the day after i deposited the payment.

Your fiance must renew her NBI. i just had my NBI renewed. supposed to be it will be expired on September 2008, but some advised that its better to present documents that 's new (at least less than 2 months new)

Good luck..

i was just wondering on how DELBROS will going to verify our names at the NSO for our documents?

Lets say we paid them early, as early as one month before our scheduled interview, so how are they goin to check to the NSO, when we paid and when we texted them we only texted our names and case number, but not our spouse's name in it. Do they communicate with USEM and they give the infos that NVC sent to USEM?

its some kinda confusing. i have read posters complaining that they paid ahead of time but still weeks of waiting and yet their visa is not released yet.(or those only who have problems with their documents at the NSO)?

correct me if i am wrong with my confusions. Thanks.

When we called I had Ricky ask about document verification and the answer he got was: :"some are required to pay, some are not"... very helpful indeed.

Yet on page 3 of the revised/updated downloadable packet 4 (http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf), it says:

* Document Verification. As a standard measure to validate the relationship upon which the K1 visa petition is based, the Embassy conducts independent verification of civil records directly with Philippine government agencies before a visa can be issued. These local agencies charge a fee or fees for the records search, retrieval services and for making copies of public records. To avoid unnecessary delay in issuing the visa, we strongly encourage you to pay the document verification fee before your visa interview. The document verification fee is PHP650. This document verification fee is NOT the visa application fee. The visa application fee of US$131 must be paid as noted above (Proof of Payment). For specific instructions concerning payment, visit our web site at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfdelb.pdf.

Let me just go back to the: "As a standard measure to validate the relationship upon which the K1 visa petition is based,....."... I don't know how others would interpret it but if I am to interpret it, I would say it means EVERY "K1" applicant must or is required to pay for document verification as part of standard procedure. (same goes for K3 coz it is also on page 3 of the updated K3 packet)

I don't know USEM is just making me dizzy  . I guess I just have to go ahead and pay next week and then cross my fingers that I will not be one of the unfortunate souls who are put on doc. verification AR/AP even though they paid even a month in advance.
