I always send everything special delivery. I keep stacks of the slips you fill out at my desk at work. Whenever I have a few minutes with nothing to do, I fill out the senders details on the slips. I fill out half with my work address and half with my home address, so I have some of both. This really saves time, since I send so many things Special Delivery. I tend to spend a lot of time in the Post Office, but I don't mind, because it gives my something to do on my lunch break. I don't really have much to say to my co-workers so lunch times can be awkward. Sending Special Delivery is a really good way of getting out of the office. I don't have much in common with my co-workers. They are very flamboyant and crazy people. They do not send everything Special Delivery. Sometimes some of the things they send in the post are lost. They say that it's only letters and replaceable, but I say that not sending Special Delivery is like messing with your own LIFE.

Could people please just use this thread to add useful comments instead of trying to show how clever they are? I am sure there will be people reading this later on will be looking for useful information rather than attempts of witty banter. Thank you!

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Did anyone else who sent special delivery check their tracking number only to find this?

Your item with reference ZV123456789GB has reached its PO Box and is awaiting collection/delivery.

Since it wasn't sent to a PO Box number it's odd!!!

Thank you, StP, for injecting a note of reason into this very, very serious thread. I have already bookmarked it in my "Very Serious Threads" folder and I would not like to have to remove it.

Yep, that's pretty normal. It gets put in a delivery box at the Embassy and then gets picked up later.

A stick!

No, I think the answer is.... the MBE.

It should absolutely not be sent with Special Delivery. It should only ever be sent with the SMS couriers.

You have one of those too? I have one just for all the REALLY USEFUL threads like this one. I think I would have had my visa application denied without the help of those REALLY USEFUL threads...
