To all the party-ers:

There are many many many of us, both lagging at VSC and regulars at CSC who are downright cheesed at all the happy jumping around. Thanks for rubbing your good fortune in our faces.

Sorry to burst your bubbles but thats how I FEEL. As do probably many others do, but don't step up and say it.

I won't be back. Thanks for all of your "support"

These people have the right to be happy that they are one step closer to being with their loved ones. Just like you will be when it happens to you. Nobody is rubbing it in anyone's face. You are taking it way too personally.

buh-bye now :D

We've not even filed yet but I am nothing but happy for each and every one of you who have been approved! I love to share your joy and live vicariously through you until it's our turn. Congratulations to you all!

And to those of you still waiting...whether from CSC, stuck in AP or straggling at the VSC, I wish it was fair and equal but sadly, it's not. I do hope your approvals are swift and wish you all a lifetime of happiness.

I couldn't agree more. No one has ever said the service centers processed things either equally or with any real consistancy. Thing is.. unless you work at the centers and see each individual case there is no way to know what is being done, why something is delayed or what kind of backlog they have. I hate that there are those who are not approved as far back as July of last year but that is nothing I nor anyone here can control. Yet if I was still waiting I would love to read every person's approval. Why? Because it would be one closer to mine and the fact that another person has the chance to finish this portion of their journey is wonderful. Out of all of the posts i've seen of approvals never once did anyone use it as a way to rub it in anyones face. This is a community of those with similiar situations... we live through each others experiences both good and bad. I think of each person i've met here as a friend and part of my extended family because of what we are all going through. This process is far from fair in many respects but we are also dealing with multiple government agencies. Such is what you will be dealing with for many years to come.

Frustrations will abound.. but it is through it all that we all obtain our end result. To be with the one we love forever.

I wish you nothing but speed on your journey and I can understand it can be tough but please remember we are all going through it.... some just go faster than others.

Well, if that's the way you feel, then I guess it is time for you to go...I admit it, people like you were the reason I couldn't feel completely ecstatic when my NOA2 arrived...you made me feel guilty, even though I know it wasn't my fault...but your words make me feel as if I (and everyone else celebrating being one step closer to the one they love) were personally out to get you...I was willing to wait months longer, was planning for it...I even went so far as to express that I would wait months longer if it meant that someone (or many people) who filed before me would get their notice...

But I can't control the government...neither can you. So instead of being a buzzkill to everyone who is supportive, whether they have their notice or not, it is probably best (for you especially) you should go...

greeneyedgirl and anyone else that is worried ur approval will make someone feel bad.........plz dont ever be afraid to post ur happiness as well as ur sadness....after all that is what this form is for to support each other as best we can cuz all of us either have been thru the same thing or going thru it at this time

Chris, the reason that this particular forum was created was to segment all the case filing information and cheering into its own section. It was created *exactly* so people like you don't have to see it if they don't want to.

If you want "support" without having to see others happy, there are dozens of other forums around here.

I even went so far as to express that I would wait months longer if it meant that someone (or many people) who filed before me would get their notice...

But I can't control the government...neither can you. So instead of being a buzzkill to everyone who is supportive, whether they have their notice or not, it is probably best (for you especially) you should go...

I feel the same way, I'd be willing to wait a month or months longer if only people like AbyBavy, Shane&mix, estadia and others who have been waiting so much longer can have their approval first. But as Dawn has said, we can't control the government and I have to be grateful also for the blessing of early approval.

You have filed january 30, 2008 which means you have been waiting less than 2 months.. i don't think the waiting is what's making you sooo miserable and frustrated... It's what's inside you that's making you miserable.

It's ok to rant and to vent your frustrations, cuss the system and the government but when you let those frustrations take hold of you completely and when you take out those frustrations on others whose only crime is they were approved earlier and faster than you, i think that is totally wrong. Wouldn't you be celebrating if you switched places with a filer who got quick approval? Would you even give a thought to others still waiting from 2007? Or to others who are in for a longer wait?

Life is unfair. Deal with it!

Happiness releases anti-aging hormones while misery makes you develop wrinkles faster. Happiness is a choice and a decision... in the same way that misery is also a choice... and BOTOX is expensive.

Nah, you probably won't be reading anything here since you said you won't be coming back. So, CIAO!!! Adios Amigo!!!wave.gifStill wishing you loads of good luck.

Heh - I said the same thing when there were people waiting... I am not moving until June so I would have gladly traded places...

As for rubbing in people's faces - I remained happy for every single person who filed after me and got approved. Sure it stung, especialyl after waiting 150+ days but it's not their fault and besides, I kinda wanted to make friends with people so the support was mutual :P AND I knew they would be just as happy for me when it was my turn :P

Chris,

You are so wrong. Why blaming Vjs ??? I do feel very depressed also at times but I am still happy to see some of us being approved. All you would have to do is stay away on the approvals threads. I know that the day we do get approved I will be so pleased that I will have to shout it and let everyone one knows. It is a long, unfair and depressing process but there is nothing we can do to change it.

We all get impatient an want to be with our loved ones etc....share some joy as wouldn't you want it if it was the other way around?

Hmmmmm if your going to get yourself this wound up after not even 2 months this process is going to damn near kill you.

Thats right .... you live in CSC land and that means you might have to wait a little bit longer. Still good job you don't live in Darfur right? There is always going to be someone ahead of you in the game Chris, perhaps you do need to walk away if you can't handle the speedy approvals but you won't always be able to walk away. I love coming to VJ because everyone is so helpful and supportive, I don't really care what anyone else's opinion is on this but these people are my friends. They understand my life a lot better than any of co-workers or friends at uni do right now. I know how hard this process is and is going to get and I'm over the moon for anyone who takes a step in the right direction whether in front or behind me in the "queue". It's a shame that your so jaded flower but the people here are good and will almost certainly forget all about your little outburst when you return for their help in the future.

The process has been killing him from the moment he posted. Some people thrive on misery. While I sympathize with the wait some of you have, it's SO unfair to take it out on other couples and that just pisses me off!

You really want frustration?? Read through last year's posts when the influx pretty much put a halt to approvals. Go over to the mena forums where people have been waiting years to be with their spouses and children because of AP! Live in my world and wait 3 years for a divorce! Everybody's got a story! Who ae we to say that our journey is more important than any body else's? These issues are caused by the government and all that negative energy could instead be used for positive change ...to at least give a voice to this process instead of being taken out on early approvals for celebrating the fact that they were lucky enough to get throught his stage of the process quickly.

If you think this is difficult what's going to happen when the realities of life really kick you in the @ss? I'm a mother who has buried a child and i'll tell you right now.... this is cake compared to that kinda pain.

All you people who are approved... I hope you don't take this post to heart when you read it. I, for one, want you to sing and dance and shout it from the roof tops! And I know i'm not alone. You have the right to celebrate and the majority of us are here to celebrate with you. Don't you, not even for a glimmer of a moment, let anyone take this joy from you. Life is way too short! And, like Gaye says, botox...waaaay too expensive!!!

Those of you waiting, I know it's hard. It's hard for me too. But, as I stated above, other people's approvals really have nothing to do with your own case. Sure, it's unfair that the service centers are not equal in their approval times and it's unfair that some people seem to just be stuck in limbo for ages with no good reason. But that's life. Life is unfair. It is what it is. If you have energy to burn or frustrations to vent please dont take it out on those who are lucky enough to be pass this stage. Instead, use it for good! Contact your congressperson and tell them your story. Tell them about the desparities in the processing centers and how unfair it is. You think they know but the truth is...they dont. Not enough of us American's are educated about the immigration process. I know I was oblivious until I was forced to face it myself and find that most people I come across are the same. Maybe you wont change the world but voicing your frustrations to the people who really effect change is what this process needs and who better to do it???

On that note... I hope that you ALL are approved today!!! Gotta make way for my case in two weeks!
