Hi All

I am in a huge problem and need ur help.

1) Basically, the embassy has scheduled my interview for 5th may and i cam to know abt it when i mailed them for extension of NOA2.

I nevere received any packet 3 and 4 ,so was not expecting any interview

I am now travelling to canada for 2 months and can defintely not attend the interview

WILL MY NOT ATTENDING MAKE THE PETITION INVALID?

2)How do i get my NOA2 extended?The embassy said that it is upto the discretion of the visa officer.the problem is that my noa2 will expire on 26th june and i might be in canada till then..

Will this affect my petition

What do i do?there is no way i can cancel my going to canada as my company is sending me and i have no control and also i wont be able to fly back as i wont get holidays

You need to call and reschedule. If you just don't show up, you may have more problems than the embassy just making the petition invalid.

Extending the NOA2 is pretty much automatic at most embassies. If you want, you can just e-mailing them to let them know (we did). They replied with the "extension is at the officer's discretion" blah blah. The wording is standard.

I called up the embassy and told them that i cant be there on 5th may.they said mail us when u r ready and we will reschedule.

Is there somethign else i shd do now?I can tchoose the dates,they said afte rthe mail they wil choose another date and let me know.

So did ur extension of NOA2 happen on its own.for me also they told it is upto the discretion,do i have to something or shd i just leave it assuming it will happen?

I wouldn't worry about the NOA2 extension. All we did was e-mail and that was it. We had no other problems.

Do as the embassy says, when you get back then let them know. I think that at that point they will just reschedule you for another interview at the earliest time.

It looks like you are in good shape
