:wow: My fiance filed our application January 2008, then March 14, 2008 he received a letter informing him that the petition was approved. How long will it takes for me to know when i will received the packet 4? Will it be possible by next month April?

After approval, the case will be forwarded from USCIS to NVC. It will sit there for a little while and then it will be forwarded to USEM. It could take up to 2-3 months (at least) for the USEM to schedule you on an interview. Look at my timeline below and it will give you some idea. My K1 at that time went through the normal processing time.

Good luck and congrats on NOA2!

That all depends. After approval, it gets forwarded to NVC. But how long it stays at NVC depends on the type of Visa you guys applied for.

Are you on CR1/IR1 route? Or the K1 or K3 route?

If you're on the K1 or K3 route, your case usually only sits at NVC for a couple of weeks.

If you're on the CR1/IR1 route, your case sits at NVC for a few months.

After NVC, it gets forwarded to the US Embassy where it could take a few weeks to a few months to schedule your interview.
