I asked for my interview to be April 10th. Maybe I was too specific. I don't have my medical booked yet as I'm getting it done the day before the interview in Vancouver, since there isn't a doctor here in Edmonton anymore.

That's the reason I'm a little worried about when my appointment will be. I need to make travel arrangements, hotel reservations, a medical appointment etc!

Yikes! Well, hopefully you get an email soon, or your appointment letter! Or both! Hopefully I do too!

The one thing that worries me is that Charlene and her fiance received an email last Thursday and Packet 4 the same day. They also emailed the consulate the same time that I did, the very first time.

Maybe you should book your medical and then if it doesn't come that day then move it. Or maybe call vancouver medical place and see how long of a wait it is to get into them to make sure. You can never be to careful.

I've been in contact with her and she said just to let her know when the interview date was and she'd get me in the morning before. She realizes the situation, plus Vancouver medicals are done at 6:30 in the morning, before any of the regular patients are in.

That is great they are so accommodating with the medicals. I guess the drawback to that situation is they will have to mail you the visa after the medical results are in. Will the Doctor's office send the results directly to the Consulate?

Yes I remember that to! That is why u probally pay a little bit more than some of the other medical places.

Yeah, it's 350 dollars instead of 220 but you do get the same day results which is great. I honestly don't mind paying extra. Being able to be fit in the day before my interview is a blessing!

I just came across this site and I can relate to all of you. I faxed in my checklist on March 6th and waited two weeks. Nothing happened. So I faxed it again on March 20th with a cover letter stating that I had done it two weeks prior and was just making sure they had received the first fax by faxing again. That was a week ago and I have been checking the mail everyday looking for a interview letter from them. I am concerned. I have heard that my passport needs to be renewed if it has less then 6 months left on its expiration date. Its 6 months will start on April 22, 08. I am need the passport at the interview and I also need it to reapply for a new one. So I really need to know when this interview is. I am getting so stressed by it but I keep hoping. Should I maybe email the Vancouver Consulate? I tried once back in Feb and they never responded to me, so I am hesitant on emailing them again. I am blaming the delay from them on the past weeks holidays, Easter. I am assuming they take off time since its government as does the postal system. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Normally Vancouver is good at replying back, but its not always the case.

Same day results? Even for the HIV test?

I didn't goto VA, but I'm sure others have posted on here that they had their medical first thing that morning, and got results same day. I could be wrong

Yup, in Vancouver you get the results that afternoon!

I just went onto vancouvers wait time for interviews is 30 calander days. Does this mean 30 days for them to get back to you for an interview date.

YEAH!!!! I emailed the consulate again today and within 5 min i got a response and I now have an interview date of Apr28/08 1pm. YEAH YEAH!
