I have a box that would be on the front page about 2/3 of the way down the page that says:

A Police Criminal Records Check may provide the folling information obtained from the Canadian Police Information Centre (C.P.I.C.)

Outstanding Entries (i.e., charged & wanted persons)

Records of criminal convictions, as the records exist of the date of the search

Findings of guilt where a pardon has not been granted

It does say at the bottom of mine that the Blue copy is for the applicant.

Does your mention C.P.I.C. anywhere on the front?

I am looking at a copy of my Criminal Records Check now - I also have a stamp on the bottom left corner and a check mark in the box that says the same as yours. I don't recall the back of the page. It sounds like you have the same paper as I did.

And did they accept your Police check the way it was?

Yes they did accept my police check.

I wish there was someone from Ottawa on VJ. Then they can tell me what they got. I called both Police Stations in Ottawa and they seemed clueless as to what I needed even after I explained it to them.

the only one I know is, Neen_in_Ottawa , shes in Texas now and doesnt post alot but maybe if you sent her a PM she will let you know what she got..if you look in my profile shes in my friend list..

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll send her a message and hope that she might be able to help me out.

I just tracked the NVC shipment to Montreal on 3/19 and it's in Montreal today!! Not delivered yet, but if it's like every other shipment it will be delivered later today. Just keep in mind that Montreal doesn't always "receive" them(open them up and enter them in their system or whatever they do) right away. You can call DOS (dept. of state) 202-663-1225 (1 then 0) next week some time and they can let you know if Montreal received your case yet. Might take a couple weeks though from what I have been reading/seeing in people's timelines.

You'll need your new case# from NVC that starts with MTL2008******.

This is where I found DHL shipments for 3/19:

3/19/08 NVC to embassies list (DHL tracking numbers)

The entire thread is here:

NVC/DHL tracking thread

Like someone already pointed out, it's not 100% for sure that your file is in that package but since you know it was sent on 3/19 chances are fairly good it's yours. It's just fun to see some progress!!

Thank you sooo much for checking that for me. I understand that they might not enter it in right away. But it is good to know that it is in Montreal. (if my file was in that package that you tracked)

YES!!! Mine says all of that except for the part about the Blue copy for the applicant. But it does mention C.P.I.C.)

Does that mean that I am good to go????????

As far as I know you are good to go. If I recall correctly it must say C.P.I.C. on it so you should be fine. Now you have to find something else to worry about, and I know what you are going through, can always find another thing to worry about as this process goes along.

LOL You are very correct with that statement! I just want to make sure that I have everything that they want. I would hate to be denied or have my Visa postponed because I have the wrong stuff.

mine is yellow ! lol

and it says:

canadian police certificate for employment, visa applicant, foreign travel/work permits

This certifies that a search based on the above name and date of birth failed to disclose any such person with a record of criminal convictions in the national repository for criminal records in canada. Note : search not confirmed by fingerprints

and it was issued by the chief of police in charlottetown.

and on the back there is a stamp saying:

this certificate does not apply to any individual who works...blablabla.... with one or more children or vulnerable persons as defined blablabla.
