Hi all

I met this pakastani guy on internet on a dating site. We r in love n close enough and know a lot each other that we decided to marry. Problem is, i cant go to meet him as i have my lil ones, 5 yrs old n 3 yrs old, n i have job here and to take care of my lil ones.

Please tell me how should i answer this question, as it requires to meet in person.

I am very confused. As i found this man answer to my prayers n i want him to be here with me in US.

Unfortunately, unless there is some religious (or similar) reason for not having met in person (within the las two years), it is extremely likely any petition you submit will be rejected (little ones, jobs, etc are not reason enough).

Best advice (on answering this question) in my opinion is to rethink the petition - until you've met this very basic requirement, do you want to waste your time (and possibly money) and heartache doing something that will most surely be rejected? :(

I don't know of a single person who has not met their SO before filing that made it through.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

USCIS is very strict about the conditions of meeting in-person within the past 2 years. You will have to provide very solid and convincing evidence, of extreme hardship, or cultural reason for not having met. Approval of this is very rare.

A. Provide copies of evidence that you and your fiancé(e) have personally met within the last two years; or if you have never met within the last two years, provide a detailed explanation and evidence of the extreme hardship or customary, cultural or social practices that have prohibited your meeting;

Chances of getting an approval without having met within the last 2 years are slim to none.

Try and see if you can go and meet him. You can even meet in another country if that would be easier.

Thanks. Then shud it is necessary for me to go to meet him or he?
It can be either way, you travel to foreign country, or he visits you here in the USA. Usually it is easier for US citizen to travel abroad as opposed to foreign citizen trying to get a visitor's visa from the US consulate in some countries.

Where is he? Some countries have a Visa Waiver program with the USA, so it is not a problem for him to visit the USA.

Unfortunately Pakistani people have a very hard time getting a visit visa.............when i was in Pakistan we went to the embassy a few times.......there would be hundred people lined up to interview for visit visa if five got it they were very lucky...............................

that s wht he tells me that it is very hard for him to get US visa either i have to apply from here or i be go down to meet him.

Try meeting in another country then. Would it be easier to go to the UAE or somewhere in Europe?

The point is to have met at some point in the last 2 years, it does not matter where the meeting takes place.

For a k-1 to have a chance you will have to make time to go and spend some time together. I wouldn't waste $455 filing fee if you've never met in person.

Suggestions:

-keep the boarding passes from the flights

-take lots of pictures together, different days & different places, the more the better

-meet his family (so if asked at the interview, he can say you met them)

These are all things you can use as evidence of ongoing relationship.

Btw, please don't get offended, but how do you know you love this man if you have never met? Personally, I don't think it's possible to love anybody unless you have actually spent some time together. The internet is great and all, but it's not a replacement for human contact.

Yes for your own safety and piece of mind, spend as much time together as you can. This is not a hurry hurry process and even with meeting you will learn things the second trip you did not see the first, take your time.
