I think it is needed for AOS but maven is right - I don't think you need to do AOS on CR-1 etc - you get your green card anyway :D

I know that :rolleyes:

I was just wondering, so I can fuel my annoyance :lol:

I've been looking around, and I see who or when the last 2 shots would be checked up on. Removing conditions doesn't seem to have any medical requirements, though if there was something left unfinished in my file at the time the visa was issued, it might pop up then?

I made my medical appointment yesterday for the 14th April. Today I made an appointment with my normal doctor, but I have to check with them tomorrow to see if they have the HPV vaccine, and how much it costs. The receptionist didn't know but *thinks* it's £80 - I have to call tomorrow to get the Lady that deals with private shots. So I'll keep you updated ...

Good call - not sure why everyone is getting quoted £80 and my doc said it was £399 for the course :angry:

I need to get a letter from my doc as well but I am going to chase that again when I have my med/interview date!!

I can't imagine them making it mandatory and not subsidising it somehow

  • 4 weeks later...

Well, my fiance had his interview this morning and since I'm EXTREMELY meticulous with paperwork, I made sure he had absolutely everything that was required. I-134 Affidavits of Support with heaping amounts of evidence, passport photos, a copy of the NOA2 and I-129F, and of course, his police certificate.

The good news is that my fiance was approved for his visa, but the bad news is that we're being delayed because there's a new police certificate form being used in obtaining visas to the US, NZ, and Australia. I didn't know about this NEW certificate, but apparently the US Embassy is ONLY ACCEPTING the new police certification starting THIS WEEK. We were never notified in our packets regarding this new regulation or certificate and were unaware of this.

So my fiance was given a blue courier slip saying "Approved pending missing document" and he needs to go through another layer of paperwork and of course, more fees, before we can send back the passport and get the visa. It's extremely infuriating, especially because we were given no official notice of this new regulation.

The new police certificate form for UK filers can be found here:

Still fuming... :ranting::angry:

Congrats on the Visa approval, I understand how you feel, I read a posting saying that the old version of police report was ok till August, but I decided to get the ACPO one in case, im glad i have now. From what I understand it takes about 10 Days to arrive.

While it is annoying having to wait a little longer for Visa you are just think your just about done with USCIS for a little while and look on bright side your fiance will be with you soon :) London are fast with Administration so it wont be too long :)

You got through the worst of it all :)

Now the good times are ahead :)

Yes, but the ridiculous thing is if the old certificate proved you weren't a criminal the new one will do the same checks and come up with the same result! I understand your frustration but thankfully some of the posts on here warned me of the issue. You were TWO days after their deadline.

The new one has a photo on it so I can see why they have chosen it. Not sure why they charge so much though.
