How long does the certificado de antecedentes judiciales a nivel nacional in Lima, Peru take to get once requested and what is the cost? I would really appreciate the heads up......thanks....

And that is what is requested when it comes to a background check in Peru, right?

05/12/07 Married in Ica, Peru one year later

06/21/07 Sent in I-130 for CR1 Visa

07/28/07 NOA1

11/28/07 NOA2 (File approved!!!!)

NVC (Torture Time) Can you tell I'm a bit jaded right now?

12/21/07 NVC received file

12/31/07 Received I864 Bill

12/31/07 Received DS230 Bill

02/21/08 Sent I864 and DS230 Bill

03/14/08 Received Packet with Instructions from NVC

03/14/08 Sent Packet back to NVC Certified Mail

03/20/08 NVC Receives Packet

04/01/08 NVC sends back packet (missing info or incomplete according to NVC?) your kidding me right?!!!!!!!!

04/10/08 Received Packet with Checklist

05/01/08 Checklist Items overnighted to NVC (almost 1 year since we started the process...wow!)

05/07/08 Packet being returned AGAIN!!!(missing info or incomplete) Somebody just shoot me already!!

05/15/08 DS 230 II overnighted again (NVC claims they never received it)

05/23/08 Case Approval (Finally here!!!!) Case expedited to Lima.

Embassy

06/09/08 - Package 3 with instructions received

06/12/08 - Medical appointment

06/20/08 - Interview.....Visa Approved

The following information was once posted by another VJ member, It is clear and very helpful. There are three required certificates in Peru and they are as follows:

(Note: the statement of 5 days for the certificado de antecedentes judiciales WILL vary for some people, depending on where the fiance has lived. I have heard of it taking anywhere from 5-15 days.)

CERTIFICADO JUDICIAL DE ANTECEDENTES PENALES

-Poder Judicial: Av. Abancay en Lima.

-Copia y original del boucher de pago al Banco de La Nacion.

-Costo: S/ 52.50 (Banco de La Nacion)

-2 copias del D.N.I.

-La foto la toman adentro del Poder Judicial (no aceptan fotos)

-Motivo: Exterior.

-Llenar un papel verde que se tiene que pedir adentro.

-Tiempo de proceso: 40-60 min.

CERTIFICADO JUDICIAL DE ANTECEDENTES PENALES

-Poder Judicial: Av. Abancay in Lima.

-Original and copy of the receipt from Banco de La Nacion.

-Cost: S/ 52.50 (Banco de La Nacion)

-2 copies of your D.N.I (National Identity Document)

-Don't bring any pictures. They will take you a picture inside.

-Purpose: To be use abroad.

-Fill out a green paper that you can get inside the building.

-Process time: 40-60 min.

-INPE: Av. Carabaya cuadra. 4, Lima.

-Original y Copia del boucher de pago al Banco de La Nacion.

-Costo: S/ 35.90 (Banco de La Nacion)

-Ellos te daran un formulario, llenarlo y sacar una copia al frente.

-2 fotos tamaño CARNET.

-2 copias del D.N.I.

-Tiempo de proceso: 5 dias.

-Hora de recojo de documento: 14.00 hrs - 16.30 hrs.

CERTIFICADO DE ANTECEDENTES JUDICIALES A NIVEL NACIONAL

-INPE: Av. Carabaya cuadra. 4, Lima.

-Original and copy of the receipt from Banco de La Nacion.

-cost: S/ 35.90 (Banco de La Nacion)

-They will give you a form, fill it out and then take a copy of it across the street.

-2 CARNET style pictures.

-2 copies of your D.N.I (National Identity Document)

-Process Time: 5days.

-Pickup hours: 14.00 hrs - 16.30 hrs.

CERTIFICADO DE ANTECEDENTES POLICIALES

-Sede Central de la Division Central de Identificacion Policial de la Direccion de Criminalistica PNP: Av. Aramburu 550 Surquillo.

-Original y copia del boucher de pago al Banco de La Nacion.

-Costo: S/ 30.45 ( Ese es el precio para viaje al extranjero)

-El Banco aparte del boucher te dan un formulario llamado CERAPS que tambien tiene que ser entregado.

-1 foto tamaño pasaporte con fondo blanco (la toman tambien adentro pero es mas rapido si ya la tienes lista)

-Tiempo de proceso: 1 dia.

CERTIFICADO DE ANTECEDENTES POLICIALES

-Sede Central de la Division Central de Identificacion Policial de la Direccion de Criminalistica PNP: Av. Aramburu 550 Surquillo.

-Original and copy of the receipt from Banco de La Nacion.

-Cost: S/ 30.45 (That is the price if you say it's for traveling abroad purposes)

-The bank also gives you another form called CERAPS that has to be given at this place.

-1 picture, passport style (white background) (You can have the picture taken there but it is much faster if you already have one)

-Processing time: 1 day.

Feb 21: File Left NVC for Lima.

Feb 25: File @ U.S. embassy in Lima!

Mar 18: 8 a.m. My Morenito's Interview!!

Mar 25: VISA IN HAND!!!

Apr 4: My love is home!!!!

Apr 29: Our marriage. And life begins anew..

Dec 31: Mailed AOS, EAD, and AP to Chicago

2009

Jan 5: Rec. e-mail confirm of delivery from USPS

Jan 8: Check cashed. MSC number not visible....

Jan 12: Rec. Hard Copy Notices for AOS, EAD, and AP. Touched

Jan 16: Rec. NOA-Biometrics Scheduled 1/28/09

Jan 28: 9:00 a.m. Biometrics appt. Fast - 15 minutes in and out!

Jan 29: Touched.

Feb 3: AOS Trans. to CSC

Feb 10: AOS Arrived @ CSC

Mar 04: Touch on AOS

Mar 09: Notifice that AP approved 3/6/09

Mar 13: Rec. AP

Mar 16: Rec. EAD (surprised as USCIS shows no updates)

Apr 3: Rec Welcome Letter, AOS approved 03/30 (surprise, no updates on website)

Apr 8: GC Received

June 5: Our precious baby girl arrived!

2010

June 7: Our darling son arrived!
