If I-129F is approved, USCIS will hold the approved I-130 for future AOS from the K-3. Typical time through NVC for the I-129F (K-3) is 3-4 weeks.

SEE: http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/PN_i-129f.pdf

The days of having both petitions work their way through NVC ended last fall. In order to keep the I-130 processing for a CR-1 visa is for your to file I-824 to request USCIS to move it on to NVC.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

My approved I-129F made it to NVC in 1 week, and they said that they would send it to embassy in a couple of days. For couple of other petitions, NVC received it in three days! I do not know if these are normal processing times or not. Your times may differ because you have both petitions forwarded to NVC. In my case, they held back I-130 and forwarded the I-129F. You can call NVC, select the option to speak to a representative, and they will give you all answers you need. Some very helpful people there!! They are also available from 7:30am to midnight EST, I think.

I do not think there is any way to check the status online. But, if you like, you can send an email to NVCInquiry@state.gov, provide them the receipt numbers, and ask them the status. I had sent them an email when I was not able to get hold of an representative earlier, and it just so happened that I received a very detailed message few moments ago about my case number. It contains information about the case number, that it was processed, when it was sent to embassy, embassy contact information, etc. I already had the information from calling them later, but it is still good to have an electronic copy and some extra information it contains. Hope this helps!

I am a newbie, but reading some information here it seems that up to 2 weeks is normal. They received mine, which was approved on March 7, a week later. You are right at one week point, so they might receive it later today.

averaget ime for the I129f at the NVC is 2-4 days. You can view this on my latest timeline under approved I129fs

Call the NVC for the I129f petition with the reciept number. This information is not put into the automated system.

The I130 will be on the automated system. They wil first send you a bill. When you recieve that bill do nothing, if you want to follow through with the K3/129f visa. They will just put your I130 petition in a file until you file for AOS.

Average time at the NVC for a I130 is 2-4 months. Some of the time depends on how fast a petitioner can get the information back and forth. If you go this route get the NVC porcessing timeline to get everything ready in advance. Unlike my lawyer who has taken our case 6 months at the NVC.
