Two Very Quick Questions

So today after trolling the forums i decided i should update my timeline, for obvious reasons. It seemed to save the NOA1 date as today, and i cant seem a way to change it? can you change it and im just being an idiot or it is not possible to amend? im sure the latter isnt the case.

So thats question one,

My next question...

how the hell can people handle this wait? its driving me nuts. i have seen people in the same situation as us, a clean application (no previous marriages, clean police records etc etc) and filing from England, but obv are filing at Vermont..and have recieved NAO2 already! surely if this is due to that poor excuse of increase in applicants then why cant they thus distribute the workload? i dont understand why because of the origin of the application we should get a slower service, i mean we all paid the same amount...

i am so fed up of checking that bloody website, and shock horror still just touched at the end of Jan and nothing more.

so if you could just let me know about the timeline i will have something to do for the next ten minutes. Cheers

and again apologies for my rant! everyone is a similar boat

Russ

how the hell can people handle this wait?

The short answer...even though it doesn't help...we handle it because we have to. I filed for my K1 in February and it's killing me. Some days I'm ok...some days I want to stay in bed and cry...and some days I am so angry I don't have any way to express it. I want to be with my beloved and this is what I have to go through to do it. Hopefully by the time it gets cold again in Utah we'll be together and married. In the end...we have no choice but to wait.

See my timeline for my K-1 and AOS/EAD/AP details.

It might be discouraging to have to wait while people who filed at VSC are already 2 steps forward, but we don't really have a choice. Nothing is going to change that. Don't let yourself be all angry because of that. Try not to spend your time checking the USCIS website. try to do it only once or twice a week. Try to find things to do to keep you busy. Try to think of the good side of the process: next time you see your loved one, it will last forever. You won't have to cry together at airports anymore. No matter how long it takes, in the end it's worth it.

Very well said Cecile.

Russ, I am wishing you all the best and may you do get your NOA2 the soonest... if you filed in january, who knows you will all start getting NOA2 by april... well, who knows we might get our NOA2 by april.

As Cecile have said, this painful and nerve-wracking waiting is worth it all because in the end we will all get to be with the person we love.

Good luck to you and God speed.

The wait sucks.

I never checked for touches and only checked weekly for updates near when I suspected it was the end. Only way I kept my sanity!

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
