Arab Bashing

Lately there has been a lot of stereotyping, bashing and judgmentalism against Arab men, Arab woman, Arab Americans, Arab cultures and Islam among members of this board lately. It seems as if it's ok if a MENA member does it, because we sure make noise when people from other forums come to MENA and do it. That's a double standard.

The bitter, lingering insecurites of a few women involved with Arab men is leeching into the positive support that we give to the many who come here. Why are their insults against Arabs ok? Just because they are involved with Arab men? It it because there are few "authentic" (whatever the hell that is) Arabs here to stand up for themselves? How successful will your relationships be if your negative attitudes about the stock your partner is from prevails?

There is a way to make a constructive point and there is plain, damn negativity. If you're allowing the latter or doing it ourself, you sure have no credibilty to attack others who do it to you.

Someone had to say it, so now, it's said. Go ahead and bash away. There's been plenty of practice here.

As I recall...you were telling people on the board that its ok for muslim women to marry non muslims...you said Islam was HISLAM...and when a fellow arab posted her opinions last night..MIND YOU A REAL ARAB WOMAN......not a 3rd generation American...I am Irish but I dont think I am some how the authority on St Patricks Day...you said her opinions were unfounded......

I think that if its your intentions to rally a lynch mob it wont be difficult...but if Idrag posts by you into this thread attacking me for defending how Islam is practiced....Islam bashing or what did you call it HISLAM...has been done by you on a horrific level.....

hysterical is not how I am right now about the last 2 days turn of events on here...You speak up about what is going on in terms of greencard fraud in mena...and somehow its twisted into bashing....For the life of me...I see very little condemnation of whats bleeding all over these boards....one of the biggest posters on here and most loyal members just got used for papers and has elaborated and you have another one asking for help and advice and I dont see any addressing of this....if you condemn their actions....you are "bashing"....And the girl who posted this thread ...I mean woman has bashed the traditions of Islam....bashed an arab last night and I have never seen her condemn greencard fraud nor make one comment about the prevelence in many mena marriages...its as if its easier to stick your head in the sand than address very frightening issues........to address them is like talking about cancer.....you become afraid you might get it

You're a pathetic, poser Arab Muslim wannabee who doesn't get to decide who is or isn't Arab, you troll. I remember when you were at sara's throat over how she could not possibly be Algerian. You wanna take me on? I'll flatten you with no effort at all, any day.

You know nothing about me, nothing about Islam, nothing about Muslims, and not a dayum thing about Arabs. And you continually prove it with your empty opinions, negativity and sniping. You would do well on anti-Islam websites, which is probably where you came from. If you had any respect for yourself or the other women here, or any common sense, you would stop the charade of posting as if you have a clue about any of this, because it's abundantly clear that you haven't one.

You have a serious problem, and I for not one minute believe that you are really married to an Arab, pregnant or have even been to an Arab country. You may have read a few websites and picked up a few hints about life among Muslims, but if you are what passes for knowlege and experience with MENA on this board, then we have all sunk terribly low.

Not everyone is willing to put up with your constant belly aching. I wouldn't bother with you if your views were just dumb, but they're dumb and brazenly prejudiced, too. You could be Debbie S. perhaps, yea, but not the loving wife of an Arab man, for sure. You don't have me fooled; not for a minute.

I have no doubt that you would not innovate Islam; you would have to have some knowledge of it first, which you don't. Any fool can post a timeline, which you have proven beyond a doubt. What I question is your substance, which has been lacking. In your favor, you have repeatedly demonstrated that you know how to put people down and maintain a negative presense day and night. That is your only skill. You must be proud of it since you exercise it regularly.

I have the balls to take you on when you cross the boundaries of common decency and throw insults at whole groups of people, Arab men, Arab women, Muslims, Islam and older women with younger men, all of whom, with or without your approval, happen to be my peeps. And you have done that plenty. If you can't learn to draw a distinction between bad people with poor character and whole nations and cultures, we got a beef, and I got the balls to bring it to you.

As far as your freigned sympathy for a "fellow american petitioner" goes, it's merely another opportunity for you to spew more stereotypes and bigotry. You are awash in negativity and cannot say a thing that is positive, uplifting or even correct. If I respected your intellect or thought you had a fleeting acquiatance with the truth, I would care about your observations, but the only thing they can be counted on is that they will be lame and loathsome.

The reason why you get all excited about breakuups is that it gives you another grand opportunity to vent your rage against Arab men and their American women - period. If you had any respect for the American women involved, you wouldn't stereotype them as fat, old, ignorant and easily lead. You lump us together in the same pile as you do the men. No one escapes your rhetoric, and the Arabs get it coming and going. My sincere advice, get some help.
