Wow what a bs, I cant stand this awful drag of time. I can not believe we could have done it the "other" way and already be together. No we chose the "right" way and now our relationship might suffer. This is absolutely the most long, stupid, idiotic procedure known in humanity!

venting.. :girlwerewolf2xn:

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

The H1-B is the work permit visa, and is currently being worked on pretty much as they arrive by Vermont (no delays for them) ..... they obviously care more about these than our I-130's ..... also, I understand the work permit people get to bring their families over within 2-4 weeks or something :protest::ranting:

So, the more H1-B's, logically, the further behind we I-130 people go

There were couple of I-130 approvals 2 weeks back. What's happening again ??? Service Centers started sleeping again...

I think USCIS is going to add another 3,000 employees. Is it true ? If yes, can we recommend them to add some intelligent and efficient donkeys

What's the CLOG in NVC now-a-days ? Ay idea. Is it still taking an average 3 months to transfer the case to the foreign consulate ?

Read this on the front page of the USCIS website today ......

'U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that it has received enough H-1B petitions to meet the congressionally mandated cap for fiscal year 2009. '

Does this mean that the work permit people will not be worked on for a little while, and Vermont can at last start working on the I-130's properly ?????

.... just pondering :pop:

Sarah, USCIS stopped accepting new H1B and closed. Now they have to enter into their computers and do the lottery for 65,000 people, then issue the receipt notices. Then only those donkeys will be free to process I-130s.

Why do they bring new workers if there is a recession in the U.S ??? Totally un-justifiable !

Answer:

- Population of Vermont: 625,000.

- Population of St. Alban's, Vermont: 7,500

Lotofpatience might be able to come up with a hypothetical dialog for a prospective employee when they are told the job they are applying for will be in St. Alban's, Vermont and will pay $10 per hour.

I am still waiting for I-130 and I-129F approvals. I know so many other folks who filed before me are still waiting... Good luck to all of them!

Good news is I am still alive, bad news is I am still waiting for approvals...

My question is after both the petitions approval (if I am still alive  ), what are the documents needed for NVC and Foreign U.S consulate processing ? I am going to India next month, so if I miss any document, I can get it.

If any good links are there, please post here or if you have a detailed check list, please let me know. Thanks!

If I have them handy, I don't need to run around in the last minute !

Loto ....it depends on which one you are going through ...either k3 or cr1 route....you can go through guidelines and forms ..lot of info is there ...you can use james short cuts also..

In general you need ...

1. Birth certificate for your spouse you are sponsering

2. Police clearence certificates from where he/she residing since age of sixteen yrs old.....or you can get passport office police clearence certificate if he got passport with in 6 months before scheduled "visa " interview.

3.DS 230 forms ....you can get them signed by spouse in advance you can fill them here ...mail if necessary

4.DS 3032 (choice of agent form)signed... go through them in detail

5.DS 156, 156K to be signed by ur spouse for k3 route

6. Its better to bring some photos , certified copies of his/her passport ,birthcertificate , marriage certificate ...etc.

7 . Always keep a log of phone records, emails. photos, chat history, gifts, money tranfers to your spouse ....so etc

I may be missing something ....check with other ppl ...

FINALLY CHECK FOR "TOUCHES" FROM USCIS EVEN IF YOU ARE IN INDIA .....DON'T FORGET YOUR "VISA" THOUGH ....LOL :):P

Thanks a lot sgr ! This is a detailed list and I'll verify other links too.

If I have bonafide marriage details (notarized affidavits from my father and mother on Indian stamp paper), do I need item# 7 above ???

Of course, I am taking my "VISA" with fully "USED" credit limit  Its magnetic stripe is completely worn

#7 ....i would say yes ...you never know what they ask at the time of interview ...they may verify that's"true" love marriage relationship rather "paper" " relationship ....particularly for visa interview.....That will also tell USCIS ...they may seperate couple physically :bonk: for months ....to years but not mentally .. (F)(L) .lol (how much we spent ;;;):wow:
