Almost been a month since we sent off our I129f stuff and we have no NOA1, since my fiance didnt get it signed for, or express delivery, We dont know if they have even recieved it over at Vermont, .

I am wondering if its worth cancelling Cheque 1 from the package, and sending the package again with a new cheque, have it signed for and express delivery PURELY to stop me worrying.

I know people have waited a while for there NOA1's but I also know some peoples have gotten lost!.

I'm a scot, I wasnt built to worry :D

Your timeline says you sent the petition on 2/29 (your signature timeline says 3/29 btw)... so that's really only been 2 weeks and 3 days since you sent it. They should be cashing your check any day now (if they haven't already). Once the check is cashed you will have your proof that it has been received. I'd give it more time.

Hi

My partner and I waited 3 weeks before we re-sent out packet. We had sent it USPS return receipt but never got the receipt and the check still hadn’t cashed. We called the VSC first to make sure there was no record of us in their system and once they had confirmed we didn't exist to them we re-sent the whole thing UPS recorded and signed for. I would say call them first and see what they would recommend. Personally we would rather have had to deal with two applications than no application. We are almost 2 months down the road now and the first one still hasn't surfaced, but the check is cancelled now anyway so they will just return it if it ever does.

Good luck

Bex xxx

(We had other indications like the return receipt never being returned that made us think it hadn't been delivered - I'm in no way saying you should out right cancel the check and start again. The guy at VSC was really helpfull and advised us on what to do, if your really worried call them)

See thats my problem, im happy to be patient and wait for the NOA1 (Very correct also, the cheque hasnt been cashed) but it was sent by normal mail, Im a brit, our mail system is appaling I have losts hundreads of pounds threw it, so I am wary of all mail services (except recorded delivery) so if it doesnt make it there and I wait, or we wait, it will be a bit hard t take.

Bex do you recall where you found the number? we looked over the USCIS website, but couldnt see a number (unless its pretty well hidden!)

I called the general customer service number 1 (800) 375-5283 and they were really helpful directing me to the right person - reading a lot of the posts on here that’s out of the ordinary though - just be honest with them, they may tell you to wait they may not.

They will only talk to the petitioner though, I was asked a million questions (the second to which I answered "I'm the beneficiary") and then was told after 15 mins that Alan had to call them back.

Unfortunately we had same problem. We first filed in April 2007 and file was never received. We called USCIS and they told us to wait till September that NOA1 would come. We did not know VJ at the time or we would have known better and refiled straight away

Well you can try calling them. We never even received NOA1 until we complained much later (see signature) but we called and they gave us our case number so we could see the progress online on their site

Nicoxcx filed at VSC though which at the moment (and for the last month or so) are issuing NOA1 and cashing payments very quickly. We just received our hard copy yesterday and I am so glad that I resent the application because the first one we sent is still nowhere to be found. If you have a delivery confirmation that says your package has been signed for then you don't mind waiting, but it is very, very hard sitting in limbo and not knowing if they have even received it or not (yes our fault for not choosing a more suitable delivery service but that doesn't change the situation now.) I sent Alan three original copies of everything I signed so it was easy for him to assemble a new application, if you haven't already it certainly wouldn't hurt to send signed copies of everything to the USC in case the worst comes to the worst and you have to resubmit.

Good luck and keep us updated.

That is true Bex they are issuing NOA1's pretty quickly, and to me, that could mean the forms never made it, We have been patient for four years, so I think a little lack of patience is allowed now :P .

Looking at your timeline Bex, you did the right thing, resent it, and you got your notice quick, Hopefully, us doing the same thing will result in a quick NOA1.

Luckily, I got duplicates of everything, and I am going to have it all done and send it to the USA tomorrow, when my man gets it, he is going to call, then send it away at the end of the month (recorded this time), It cant hurt.
