Info about Warsaw Medical Exam for K1 Visa?

Hello. :)

Our petition just left the NVC and now we are currently waiting for packet 3. I'm SO very excited that things are finally moving. :D

My question is about the medical exam for the K1 visa in Warsaw. Anyone have recent experience with this? I did a little forum searching, but couldn't find much specifically about Warsaw.

Does this take more than one day? My fiancee lives about a 4 hour train ride from Warsaw, so more than one day makes it a little challenging for her.

As I understand it, she has to get a blood test and then go to a different place and get an x-ray, and THEN take these to a doctor for the examination. Is this correct?

More than a day?

Thanks. :)

It took me only one day. She just has to make an appointment with a dotor and for the other stuff she doesn't need the appointment. She can find a list of doctors on the embassy webside. I went to a doctor located in the center of Warsaw and when I called him, he told me where to go for my blood test and ex-ray. The only thing is that she has to be in warsaw in the morning.

If you need more info please email me.

Wonderful news. I appreciate the direct information very much. I'll tell my fiancee the information and PM you if she has some questions. Thanks so much for the help. :)

I've been meaning to say hello to you for a long while since I saw that we had similar timelines. So... hello. :D

I wish you both luck and a quick interview.

Thanks again.

While your fiance is there, have her bring her vaccinations (karte szczepien) and the dr can put them on the DS-3025 form. She can ask for a copy of this form, and then when she gets to the US and you are ready to file AOS, you wont have to worry about the I-693a. It will save you some $ down the line.

The only problem is not all Dr's in Warsaw are willing to give out a copy of the DS form. My husband tried to get it and they told him the US Embassy strictly told them not to do that. But then others have gone and received copies, so I guess it varies.

I don't know if Dr. Zimna still does the medicals, but if she does, go see her!!! Her office is downtown Warsaw, very close to the train station and fairly close to both blood and x-ray places. She will give you a copy of vaccinations that are accepted by USCIS during your AOS. I didn't even have to go see a civil surgeon, saved me tons of dough.

Unfortunately, I don't see that doctor listed. :(

Here are the ones I see on the Embassy website for Warsaw:

  • Dr Ewa Cholewinska
  • Dr Marek Kruk
  • Dr Ewa Swoboda-Kopeć
  • Dr Andrzej Gajer

One thing that I remember is that blood test results are only available on the same day if you get there by certain time. I can't remember what time but might be worth calling in and checking on this.

Yes, that's true. I think they only take you in the morning hours. My husband got his blood taken at like 8am, and had the results ready after lunch. Since we knew this is how it would be, he scheduled the civil surgeon appt medical for the afternoon. He got it all done in one day.

BTW - I think my husband saw Dr Ewa Swoboda-Kopeć, she was nice & quick.

I'd recommend Dr Marek Kruk, a very professional doctor. His office is very close to the US embassy. I did all my medical in one day. I just needed to make an appointment a week before and he also suggested the places for blood test and x-rays. What you need is to get blood test done early in the morning that you could take the results at 12 the same day. Then you can take the results back to the doctor and get the sealed envelope. Besides, I had my vaccination (yellow) passport, so he transferred all records into DS- 3025 and gave me a photocopy.

Hope it helps !
