interview scheduled

Ok, so our interview has been scheduled for March 28th in London so now I am in the process of looking for flights to the states for my fiancee. I seem to remember reading that JFK is the only point of entry that grants the initial 90 day work visa... Is this correct? Seems sort of weird...

Also, I am looking for one way flights... Is this the right way to do it or is there some backwards theory by immigration that shuns one way flights?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

That is a good question. I would assume all you need is a one way flight since they know your loved one is immigrating.

Yes, I would assume the same thing, but I seem to remember reading a post that said they prefer to see a return flight in case things don't work out. Logically this makes no sense and I am not even sure it is true, but I figured I would put the question out there...

No. Whether or not there's a return flight, it's irrelevent unless there was something wrong like they discovered that you were involved in a case over in London or something. I don't know.

Some countries offer two tickets at a lower price than one-way.

LAX also provide the 90-day work stamp too!

The majority of the time, a two-way ticket is cheaper than a one-way. Anybody care to explain that mystery?

We have our interview in early April and my fiancee is coming in May. I will probably buy a two-way ticket and she just won't use the return portion.

Yeah, thats true. Although my fiancee will be travelling from London and Zoom Airlines (flyzoom.com) has some pretty cheap one way tix. Thanks for your response. Go Sox ;-)
