My wife had her fingerprint done on Mar 8th. The ASC was unexpected empty... Maybe it was Saturday? Only less than 10 people! In 15 minutes everything was taken care of. Compared with last time 1 and a half year ago, almost took 1.5 hr..

We went on USCIS website today to check the status and it says "Last Updated" on 3/13/2008 which means my case was touched on 13th? But we didn't see any difference on the status message. We checked it before Mar 8th. Today's messag was described exactly the same before the fingerprint was taken.

We are wondering if it's usual? Does it mean USCIS touched our case after the fingerprint was completed however nothing new has happened to the case status?

Did this happen to any of you too?

Thanks.

It is quite normal for you file to be "touched" without the status changing.

Thank you for your reply!

So i guess it's going to take a while (maybe 4-6month) for the message to be updated? Hopefully we don't see REF message...

If nothing is required further, we shouldn't see anyupdate until our case is approved or the GC is ordered. Is my understanding correct?
