No Doctor in Edmonton

We are certainly going to do our best to enjoy it! I've never been to Vancouver before. Heck, I've never seen the ocean! Maybe this will give us a chance to do that. I guess we'll see. As for mentality Mumsie, I work on that daily and I'm getting better! I just keep telling myself that everything is going to be just fine!

Glad you could be accomodated in Vancouver. Sucks about the Edmonton doctor! You'd think Dr.'s would be scrambling for the "cash", for such a basic service. But who knows, he might be moving, retiring, it's taking up too much time...I don't know. But glad that you worked things out.

I'd been to Vancouver lots of times in the past, but always with someone else. I don't know if you're going on your own or not, but I really enjoyed my time alone for 5 days in Vancouver. If this is your first time, you'll love it!

Unless they get a new Edmonton doc very soon, we will be in the same situation. Except that my fiance has family in Calgary, so he does not mind making the trip and staying there for a few days. It is good to know he can be accomodated by Dr Morgan if that does not work out for some reason.

My biggest concern now about having to go to Dr V in Calgary is how is he supposed to get the results? Can they be mailed to him so he doesn't have to make another trip to Calgary? Or would they be able to get them back to him the next day while he is still visiting his sister? I know other people have had to travel for their medicals; how does this work?

Check out their website Sonoran. I think it's hummingbird medical. They say that you have to pay an extra $20 if you need it couriered. I think it's ready in 6 days like the guy here in Edmonton. So he can have it couriered to him, I think.

Well, Vancouver said that if there's going to be a replacement here in Edmonton, it will be posted soon. Otherwise, we're SOL. I've gone about trying to schedule one for Calgary just in case.

That is weird cause I just had an appointment with DR.Chana in Edmonton on Mar11/08. That was the first day he was back from vacation. You should check again cause I just picked up my package on monday Mar24/08.
