letter of intent & the declaration of the relationship

I need some samples to take a look to give me an idea on how to write my letter of intent and the declaration of the relationship. If I am writing two letters of intent for both of us (applicant and the fiance(e))should they be exactly the same thing or they must be in different version in order to be credible and believable in the eyes of the INS. I am applying for the K1 visa again for the same fiance, would you guys think that will hinder or there's a possibility that our application will get deny? i dont want to hire a lawyer again because they are way expensive.i need some help....your help will be gladly appreciated....thanks

It does not have to be in a letter format, it is simply a attached sheet to answer question 18 of the I-129F.

Tell your story. Put "I-129F Supplement: Question 18, explanation of meeting in person" and the date at the top of the sheet. Sign it at the bottom.

For ours, we just made a point-form list of all the times we met. For each point, we included dates, places, and circumstances.

e.g.

1) May 1 - June 1, 2005. Lalaland, USA.

John Doe and I met for the first time in person. I also met his parents during this trip to the US.

2) December 20 - 31, 2005. Shangri-la, Canada

John Doe and I celebrated Christmas together with my family.

3) etc.

No need to worry too much about format, as long as it's easy to understand and prove that you have met each other in "real life".

For the letters of intent, I used the VJ format almost word for word. And for question 18, I attached a sheet explaining how we met on a talkboard, and listed the dates and places where we had met in person. As long as it's clear and concise (and the dates in the explanation match the ones on your passport and supporting evidence), you'll be fine.

I plan to use the VJ example for our letters of intent, but my fiance doesn't speak/read/write English. I was thinking that I'd prepare a letter of intent for him that would include the text in both English and his native Russian so that there wouldn't be any question at USCIS that he'd understood what he was signing and also so that I wouldn't have to have his letter of intent translated into English for USCIS after I'd already translated the text into Russian.

Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Here is what we did...

I wrote a letter and included: where, when, how we met. I described the circumstances just as they happened. Then I wrote about each time we were together-where, when, how long, some of the things we did/talked about. I also wrote about how we talked on the phone, sent letters, e-mails, and text messages when we weren't together. I included our future plans and goals, how I felt about him, etc. Our lawyer advised us to "pull at their heart strings". I pretty much laid my feelings out on paper. It doesn't have to be just objective (although of course you must include the facts), but it doesn't hurt to include feeling and emotion.

My fiance did the same with his letter.

We also had each letter notarized (I believe that is a requirement).

If each of you is writing a letter, they shouldn't be the exact same letter. I feel that it's important to write more than just the example that is in the link that someone else posted.

Well, I was answering in the affirmative to what you are asking on both counts, so I apologise for not making myself clear on that as I rushed the answer. It doesnt matter whether you write it or fiance writes it.......As long as there is a translation and signed by your fiance....there is no problem.
