we just got our NOA2 and we want to start the next part as soon as possible.. I am so confused about the police certificate... where do I go to get it? What do I ask for? What do I need to take? and do we both need to get one?

June 15th, 2006 -- Met in Person

Feb 1st, 2008 -- Filed I-129F

May 2nd, 2008 -- Visa Interview = Approved. (91days)

May 27th, 2008 -- Damian moves to America!

July 23rd - 30th, 2008 -- Damian's Mum Comes to the US for our wedding.

July 25th, 2008 -- Wedding Day!

March 16th, 2009 -- AOS Sent

May 8th, 2009 -- EAD & AP Approved (51days)

July 14th, 2009 -- AOS Approved!! (118days)

July 21st, 2009 -- Green Card Received (125days)

No RFEs the whole process :) All done myself.

December 4th - 30th, 2009 -- Visited England

April 8th - 30th, 2010 -- Damian's Brother visits us here in PA.

January 19th, 2010 -- Damian got his PA license.

December 10th - 19th, 2010 -- Visited England

September 16th - 30th, 2011 -- Damian's Parents came to visit us here in PA.

June 1st, 2011 -- Mailed ROC to Vermont.

February 21st, 2012 -- 10 Year Green Card Received

April 14th, 2012 -- N-400 Sent to Dallas Lockbox

November 26th, 2012 – Damian Became a US Citizen!!!

What do you mean by "Both"? Only need police cert for the immigrating person.

just one more question do I need the the 35 pound one from the ACPO or the 10 pound statement from the local police station...

"In order to obtain the required statement, you should apply to your local police station, where you will be given the application forms. When completing the application form, the applicable category is "prosecution/conviction history". There is a fee of £10 sterling."

I believe the ACPO is replacing the "police certificate" since last month, so you would need only the ACPO (F) More expensive but quicker to get

Yes, this is correct, I was one of the last to get the £10 certificate during the transition. The price may have increased, but at least now you are guaranteed to get the certificate within 10 working days, rather than 40 days.

11/29/10 Biometrics Appointment (Received letter 8th Nov, dated 1st Nov.)

12-27-17 Package received at Phoenix Lock Box and I-797 NOA sent to me.
01-17-18 Biometrics Appointment in Denver, CO (I missed this as no appointment letter was received.)
03-22-18 I found out about missed appointment and contacted USCIS to reschedule.
05-20-18 Biometrics appointment. (Biometrics reviewed by USCIS on 05-21-18)
08-30-18 USCIS Naturalization Interview (Notice sent 07-25-18)
