Hardship wavier question

I have been content to wait my space in line until just this weekend. I think I am about 1 month from my NOA2 from CSC for a K1 just doing nothing. But life has fallen apart here and I truely need him ASAP. The short version of the story is my daughter has 4 childern , the oldest has several mental problems and the 3rd is ADHD. The oldest has started becoming violent and running away. Her husband left 2 weeks ago but was at least around to help when things got out of hand. Last night my son in law was placed in a hospital as a risk to himself. I work and have to travel at times so I am not able to provide backup when things get out of control. Her father is no longer around. Would filing a hardship waiver at this point make any difference ? Could it possibly slow things up ? My daughter and I both need a person here to help with my grandson. Any advise , insight ?

Filing a "hardship waiver" will not help you as it is for waiving inadmissibilities, not expediting the process.

If you haven't yet gotten an NOA2, then you are still in for quite a wait. You could try contacting a Senator/Congressman to try to expedite, but even if they thought these reasons were good enough for an expedite, you would still have quite a wait.

BTW: Those of us on this section of the forum have usually been separated for years after our first application, so posting about "not wanting to wait in line" is probably going to be seen as offensive.

Im sorry to hear of you issue, It does seem when things happen its all at one time. doesn't it,, As A parent we try to help our kids and work as well .. Buto be honest hardship will not be approved in this case.. Its your grown kids need the help they will see it that way..Hardship is hard to get.. it has to be a strong case documents extra.. Only thin I can say let you r husband comfort you as much as possiable and take his advise.. It seems also the more we want things to hurry or rush the time seems longer in waiting I had to stay focused on work and actives I work so much I have not much time in day when I get home.. Again I am so sorry but we are strong we will get threw it.. You will see.. Stay strong

It won't help.

A hardship waiver is for someone who has had their application denied by immigration for certain reasons (health, criminal record, misrepresentation, being in totalatarian political party, etc).

You can use the I-601, only if your husband's case has been denied for the those reasons. The I-601 can not be used to make your case go faster....
