I haven't slept a lot lately. We just got the breast pump today. I could only find medela pump hope it works. Dwain is having 8 of his friends over tonight for jerk, fesival, rice and beans, and maybe plantain he is driving around liker crazy and can't find any after 4 grocery stores. He is checking one more hopefully they have some.

JaEnglish do you have to heat the milk on the stove?

You can heat it three ways....in a cup of boiling or hot water (or under the faucet), microwave it (make SURE you SHAKE it up HARD to ensure there are no hot 'pockets' that will burn her mouth, or as you said in a pot on the stove. You can also buy a bottle warmer and use that....

I used the medela pump in hospital, not as good for me as the Advent, but it may be fine!!!

If you can, pump near the baby, it sounds silly, but the milk comes faster if you're looking at the baby while pumping....

good advice. I pumped near her today and got twice as much milk. I think I will stick with the stove. I am scared of the microwave. We went to the doctor yesterday and she is almost back to her birth weight and doing well.

OK, have resized the pic for you, just quote my post and copy the image code starting with [ img ] 20b0k9e.jpg

Thanks Ja English

I just got back from walking over to the hospital with my mom. My Aunt died about 10 a.m. today. I'm so glad it's over for here. She struggled with this for so long and in great pain. My dad is a mess. She's his little sister. Added to the fact that we lost my grandmother, who lived with my mom and dad, just one year ago this Thursday......well, you can imagine how torn up he is right now. I feel so bad for him.

Sorry for your loss of a love one. My condolence to your and your family.

the little one is doing well....she is already taking 4 ounces...such a little piggy  she sleeps all the time....i'm starting to wonder if something is the matter because she just sleeps and sleeps and sleeps....i go to see the dr on thrursday so i might bring that up to her and see what she says.....

really cabbage leaves...never heard of that....my milk never came in....oh well....

My daughter also just sleeps and sleeps. She wakes up every 2 hours for food; diaper change; and then back to bed. Does she sleep longer? I am so jealous. I am sure she is O.K. Hope all is well. :star:

So, I talked to my manager today - I spent 2 hours venting, lol! Overall, I feel better about it because I know she has my back - She wants me to Bcc her on all the emails, etc... so that she has a paper trail to go to the managing attorney with - And she also told me (which she swore to deny) that when we spin off one of our business units, my problem attorney is on the chopping block - Since that's coming in the near future, I feel a little better about things.

Does anyone remember the names of decent non expensive hotels in the Montego Bay area? I know the WEXFORD was one of them. I can't remember the others.

I prefer El Greco on the hip strip.

Jax - you daugther is cute. I agree, I like El Greco...we used to get it $76/night local price when Damien was still in JA. Last year we paid $110/night local price. I love the space and the kitchen because Damien's family cooks for us.

I stayed at the Gloustershire (sp)...rooms were okay but service sucked big time...too much noise from the Hip Strip. I also love Royal Decameron...cheap all inclusive across from Toby's. I personally don't like Gloriana but it's cheap. My friends stayed at Doctor's Cave and Wexford...they're okay. I've heard good things about the Red Apple.

I realy liked Royal Decameron. Great staff and it was inexpensive. However, if you are trying to bring people on grounds, it is rough. There is a side gate they can scale if you watch out for security!
