Urgent I-134 question

The HR department just emailed me about the letter from employer that I requested they write for me. I had written it out exactly how it's supposed to be stated, but they are saying the $ amount I put in the letter is less than what my salary actually is. I had time off during 2007 without pay and that's where the difference must be coming from. I got MY figure from my w-2.

My question is, isn't it more important that the $ amount in the letter matches my last w-2? If it's different won't they wonder why? Or should I just go along with them putting the higher amount in the letter and risk an RFE to explain that?

Am I worrying too much? Do they look at it that closely?

NO, the employer is correct, the dollar amount is the amount they expect to pay you THIS YEAR, not last year.

Salary is the contracted amount that an employer agrees to pay you per year, not what they actually paid you last year.

You will be fine, you are worrying too much.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Lol, thank you! You're probably so sick of seeing my i-134 questions. Thank goodness I'll be done with this part soon. Then I can worry about our ongoing relationship evidence  .
