I don't think that's true - Houston may also still use the EAD stamp.

Also the Detroit bridge from Canada may, although that's not an airport POE.

There is also one POE in NY that sometimes gives the temporary EAD to work immediately for 3 months or you can ask for it, from memory I think it is JFK (someone will know for sure here). No other airports in the country give this EAD, so if you need to work ASAP worth considering.

I've always flown out of Toronto....where's the point of entry for me then, Toronto??? I'm confused. Is there a thread that talks about ppl's experiences with point of entry

If he forgot to turn in his I-94, he really should write the competent authority to verify that his name has been entered into the system when he last left, or else he could be told to return home. Really.

I am doing the exact same thing. Wrote them and now am waiting to know if my name is clear, or else I´ll have to send in my I-94 and other proof that I left US when I said I did.

IAD was horrid!!! and he was sent back......and i waited over 8 hours to find out he was sent back and if it hadent been for me calling home to check my messages i would have never known he was denied entry...i even asked on the customs red phone was he denied and they said no!!

Used philly several times and it was fine as well as JFK

My husband came through JFK and received the temporary EAD. He said they were pretty nice there too. Good Luck. You can pick where you want to enter the US.
