Hi -

Fiance went for interview today. We got an early date.. They did not issue the visa stating that he needs another certificate from United Missions in Kosova. This was not listed as a needed form. Than they told him it could take up to 3 months for them to review everything else they requested such as medical and other forms. He said they turned half the people away for this reason. Why are they wasting peoples time if they are not prepared.

I don't understand why they gave him an interview date if they need to review everything? It makes no sense. Plus now that Kosova is a independant country they want a paper from the United MIssion in Kosova which was helping them to govern since the war in 1999. I guess fiance has to go to an area in Kosova to get this paper. This area is having major problems right now due to the independance. So basically they are sending him to a hostile area to get a piece of paper.

I emailed the embassy to provide a copy of what is needed. I am disappointed and don't know what else to do.

Thanks!

Thanks. I just don't understand why they give interviews if they are not prepared. They also want more evidence of a relationship. I sent them an email asking what more they want since and told them what I sent.

I am angry but can't really push it. It was not just him but half of the people there got the same response about this mystery certificate. Well if they continue to have this problem you would think they would be more specific on what they need. They are wasting everyone's time from what I can see. They told my fiance that it is his problem to get it or not. They don't care.

I don't know maybe things would be different it they had a Consulate in Kosova that handled immigrant visas but the one they have does not. I don't know if people working there have certain prejudices. I hate to say it but it does exist in the Balkans in general.

So alot of unhappy left that embassy today. I guess I will wait for him to receive that certificate and see what happens. But I emailed them asking for a formal letter. They responded quickly but no formal letter?

And how do they have people conducting interviews when they can barely speak the language of the beneficiary?

Just when you thought you're done with all the frustrations of waiting for NOA2 and you are already on the final stage... here comes another. :(

I am sorry you both need to go through these. I hope everything will be ironed out soon... I will hold you both in my prayers.hugs3.gif
