Hi i have emailed th US embassy in London a few times and always got a response within 2 days. I have this month emailed them 7 times with a particular question and got no response from them, i also rang them up and they didnt know the answer to my question and told me to email them, i explained that i have several times, and they just told me to keep trying by email. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what i can do as i need the answer before my interview.

Could you post the question on VJ and possibly benefit from someone's response here? (Just a suggestion, if it's not a personal question.) I would continue to email them at least weekly until your interview. Good luck :) .

HI

Their email response time has slowed down recently from 2 days to around 10 days or more. I too emailed them regarding a change in date for my interview. The new interview date showed up in the mail before they responded to my email nearly 3 weeks later!!!!

Good luck

ok..my question was do i need permission from my sons father to let him go to the Us with me..we were never married, never been to court for custody etc..they emailed me back to say that i didnt need his permission, which was good because we havent seen him for years and dont know where he is. They then emailed me to say that i need evidence for the interview that my son and his father have no contact, then i emailed them to ask what do they class as evidence, and would a solicitors letter be sufficent, thats when they stopped responding...a solictors letter will cost approx 150 pounds which is alot of money, but if i have to pay it then obviously i will, can anybody think of anything else that they would class as evidence?

Is he paying child support? Is he registered with the CSA? Is he is, you could write to the CSA and ask them to confirm the last time he paid child support. If that's not enough, any amount of money to get a legal document without his help should be worth it, if you have to track him down it could end up being alot worse. Good Luck.

Yes he pays child support, which obviously i will cancel before we move, but we still dont know where he is, and as the embassy have said we do not need his permission written or otherwise, just the evidence that they have no contact

Well if he pays child support, how do you not know where he is? Surely there's a paper trail...csa must know.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be horrible, and I certainly don't know your personal situation...but surely the father has a right to know & I can't see a governmental agency not agreeing with this.

Then again, what the hell do I know? lol! Best of luck :)

Yes he has a right to know and i would love for him to have contact with our son and to know what is going on...it is his choice not to have anything to do with his son

Then try to contact him thru csa, have him sign summat saying he agrees to the move...so that later, he has no recourse to complain that you took him away.

I emailed London 3 weeks before they responded with my last question. Chin up....you may get multiple emails on the same topic on one particular day ha!

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

Ok, it has now been more than a month and still no response from the embassy, i have emailed them numerous times, i always get replies from them on different subjects but for some reason not this one. I have spoken to a lawyer who has told me that they can write a letter, but they need to know exactly what needs to go in the letter....please please please has anybody else been in this situation and if you have, what did you use as evidence.
