Hi pari,

Generally they just look 'down there'.

Here is the link to the webpage that tells you what to bring: http://panelphysicians.com/Pages/WhatToBring.htm

There are links on the left hand side about immunizations etc

I went to Dr Seiden in Toronto. I was asked if I preferred a female physician, so I said yes, although I honestly don't care anymore that much. After having a kid, you kind of give that embarassment up :)

I actually don't remember any kind of pelvic exam(definitely no PAP at all for sure, or stirups etc....). Perhaps some abdominal feeling, but just a breast exam. The nurse did most of it anyway.

Nothing to worry about, it's quick and painless

The breast exam was so awkward, this woman just walked in and started talking about some olympic runner or something who found out she had breast cancer and then started fondling mine. It was so unexpected...like no warning at all.

Donne moi une poptart!

I didn't get fondled at all...no breast exam, no peek at my goodies down below. The doc did feel my pelvic area a little, asked a few questions etc, but all in all, it was pretty straight forward. That was in Vancouver though, each doctor seems to differ at least a little in their protocol.

I had a very cursory pelvic check, like "Gender? Female, check."

I guess it's the prohibition on gay marriage that makes it a requirement ...
