I think you should be sooooo excited! It's been a long wait for interview. Your biggest worry is having to dance in the middle of a circle formed by the ENTIRE village at the wedding! That's drama for those of us who prefer to be a little more low key.

I am not too fond of those circles. I remember when my dad became chief my sisters and I had to do that. We also did a demonstration for a friend of ours who went to Ghana with us in July. I have some nice pictures of my sisters in the circle.

March 20th here. It is very nerve racking. I pray everything goes well for all of us. I will be leaving the 16th. Its cute, everytime I talk to my husband he gives me an update on the number of days till he sees me again.

Remember I said I was counting on my family loaning me the money for my husbands ticket? well my sister said he would loan me the money when she got her income tax refund. but when she came over she gave me a check for $1,400 and on the memo part it said "wedding gift" she told me sorry shes late with the gift but its perfect timing. she told my husband it isnt a loan. my husband was floored. he said he truly feels that he has a family here in the states. But we are taking your advice on not buying ticket yet. If they deny him or put him on AP he will use the money for getting a house for us to live in together there in ghana.

Wow! That's so wonderful. Especially when you've been feeling so nerve wracked, it's nice to feel the support and see the support from your friends and family. I'm not so sure I"m going to be able to go now, but I'm waiting to see what God does in our lives. He makes a way when we don't see a way. Don't forget to head to the cafe and let us know what happens. We'll all be sitting here wondering what's going on in Ghana. Good Luck girl!

MY FIANCE GOT HIS VISA WOOT!! He told me that he first went to the general window where a Kenyan lady collected his documents, after he was called for the interview. They just asked a few questions about our relationship, how long we knew one another, when he proposed, about our cosponsor, asked him to sware he is telling the truth..Then they said to come back in two weeks for the interview, but he told them it isn't as easy for him to come back in two weeks so they said its fine for him to get the visa tomorrow. I am so excited. We were so nervous, we tried both a visitors visa and student visa in the past and none of them worked so this was so scary but praise God he has been so faithful. He provided us w/ a cosponsor (since I am a student at Duke University) in such a miraculous way we had no relatives to help wow, thank you Jesus!:dance:
