It took about a week.

Keep calling the NVC number at (603) 334-0700. Once you hear the following message, then theres your NVC case #.

"...This case was entered in the NVC computer system on _______. The case number assignned by the NVC is (Case #). Please allow 6-8 week from this date for the beneficiary to receive the documents"

It varies from 1 week to 6 weeks, but you can call them weekly to find out.

IF you decide to go for a CR1 visa and not a K3, you can go to this link http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117 and read pages 1, 10 & 11 to familiarize yourself with the NVC process and the steps you and your husband need to take.
